Mr. Bowen, I noticed the time you posted. Young man, you are up way past an appropriate bedtime.
Did you also know the Republican party is looking for a "new" candidate for governor? Think about that.

Roger, you know darn well that's not an exact quote, but allow me to echo that statement. Brent, I'd advise you to be very careful in the future. People who are wrong and forced to admit it, are more resentful than people who are wronged. To echo the words of another AMG poster, "Watch your six".

Actually, it's a well established custom of Mystics, Spiritual Leaders, Gurus, Teachers and Sages throughout the ages and among nearly every culture. Why do you suppose they do that?

So you said this because you didn't have a good answer?

Actually, lamaine, it's the Socratic method. It broadens the mind, facilitates learning and fosters the vigorous competition of ideas. Molon labe.

Pathetic is a grown man dissing a 17 year old under an assumed pen name. Now that is pathetic!

Post all you want. I just find it ironic that a professional person is attacking a youngster from behind a pseudonym. This forum permits people to hide, so go ahead, whack away.Whatever floats your boat!

Wow, a bill of rights to protect conservatives? So maybe some people in Maine do Discriminate but it is only true when it affects you personally. Hypocracy.Either way, schools should be schools as I always say. Not a political sounding board for the College Republicans (save that for the colleges) or a political sounding board for liberals either - again save that for college. My question is: were you born conservative or was it a choice?[ 10-13-2005: Message edited by: UsuallyConcerned ]

Usually...Why is it OK for a teacher to stand outside the classroom telling students who are registering for the first time to make sure to vote Democrat? Is it OK to be a Democrat activist but not OK to be a Republican activist?

You silly! It's not a bill to protect "conservatives" per say. It's a bill to protect freedom of thought and expression. They aren't telling people how to think. They are telling people in charge of other people not to tell them how to think. Silly!
