A supposed patriotic American

A supposed patriotic American posting (stale) Russian propaganda besmirching his fellow countrymen...sad.

Speaking of the government's

Speaking of the government's and union's TSA this article by the CATO institute explains why we need to dump the TSA. It is a bloated, bureaucratic, unionized load of cop wanna-be's. Privatize it now!

We be in charge here

I seem to recall the argument

I seem to recall the argument being made that this MUST be a government union staffed federal function, rather than private security which could be held accountable & fired if need be. It was the statist whore's case that was made. Anyone think these sphincters are going to be fired or held accountable?

Think in terms of the VA-a needless, bloated, unaccountable, inefficient CF that never ends, consistently to the detriment of those it is intended (I hope), to serve..

The VA medical model is a small scale image of "medicare for all."

Imagine such a system handling "all."

Has anyone ever made some

Has anyone ever made some estimate of what the cost spread would be if the government simply paid the tab for the veterans going to appropriate existing private practices as opposed to the current VA CF? I suspect that it would be considerably lower BEFORE you amortized all of the attendant fixed overhead & "administration". (read government & union horse shit) that we pay as well to deliver a lesser quality of care to people who both need and have earned it. Their needing and having earned the care is hardly a reason to involve a cadre of non-productive bureaucrats and other parasites, that is unless you happen to be a bureaucrat &/or parasite.

"The VA medical model is a small scale image of "medicare for all."

BTW, isn't that priority one for the state's head bureaucrat to inflict exactly this on the state? Keep that bug-out bag handy, this screw-up is not going to be pretty.......

One funny thing about airport

One funny thing about airport security.... it used to be privatized. Then the gov took it over and guess who applied? All the people from the private companies. So you got exactly the same people. If it privatizes again, who will apply for those positions? The same exact people that are running it now. No matter what logo is on their uniform, its the same people.

Matt8888, your assertion may

Matt8888, your assertion may be accurate but not important. The difference is who runs the TSA. Private organizations are for profit and want to keep their business. They do that by doing it right, efficiently, responsibly and with respect. If they don't, the company gets fired and a better one hired. Employees know that. Under the government, employees know they don't have to work, don't have to produce or be efficient or any of that annoying stuff because the government simply cannot run anything right.

...and union employees cannot

...and union employees cannot be easily fired, no matter how incompetent, for anything short of actual crime. Sometimes not even then.
