WASHINGTON "” A House panel approved funding for two Maine forest-preservation projects.
One -- the Lower Penobscot Forest Project -- is ranked by the USFS as one of the country's most threatened swaths of land.
"Because Maine has this tradition of public use of large blocks of private lands, it means that for recreation, hunting, for snowmobiling, for all sorts of different uses, this land gets preserved for the people of Maine in perpetuity," said Rep. Allen.

Has anyone ever seen a picture of Tom Allen hunting or snowmobiling? That would be funny. "Can I get me a huntin license here?"
They are all multi use projects until a subsidized land trust gets their hands on the land.
Maybe Vice President Cheney and Tom Allen should go on a hunting trip.
Tom Allen has been talking out both sides of his mouth for many years, this should not be a surprise to any of us.
