Andrea Mitchell tries to ambush Sarah Palin at booksigning

So Andrea Mitchell follows Sarah Palin to a booksigning in Michigan and tries to ambush Sarah by asking her about the Newsweek cover. The photo says it all:

Boy, the hate in that liberal heart sure shows through. Mitchell sure came across like the jack@ss she is.

Liberals have been spewing hate for years, and the free shots are over. Now they are starting to look like the picture of Dorian Gray, as their true natures are shining through.

Tom, I'd encourage you to

Tom, I'd encourage you to watch the episode of Meet the Press that aired the weekend that Sen. McCain picked Gov. Palin as his running mate. Andrea Mitchell was on the panel lamenting "we [the media] don't know her" because she hadn't spent any time in Washington. Only one journalist on the panel had - Maria Bartiromo of CNBC who, coincidentally, had just spent a couple of days in Alaska interviewing her for a story on energy. Bartiromo's assessment of Gov. Palin was far difffernt than Mitchell's.

Noel at NewsBusters tells me

Noel at NewsBusters tells me that there is video that shows this to have been a much more convivial exchange than the photo suggests. I think perhaps Mz. Mitchell suffers from the same craniofacial condition as the First Lady, an inability to make a happy face, some kind of cleft karma or nueroliberalmymiserabullosis.

Here's the video:

I think it shows Sarah to be as smart and gracious as she could be under a ridiculous circumstance. I don't think it shows Mitchell to be "convivial," instead the image of her reaching across the police line to ask these inane questions shows her to be a petty advocate with an agenda.

Would Mitchell have stormed a police barricade to present Hillary Clinton with an unflattering portrait - demanding that she explain her "cankles"?

I mean, really, handing that stupid Newsweek magazine across the police line was ludicrous and took a lot of pre-thought. But what on earth was she thinking?

What Tom said. The video

What Tom said.

The video shows Palin to be a good unrehearsed speaker,
and quite capable of handling a twirp like Andrea.

The more she roams around on her own
the more stupid the McCain "handlers" appear to have been.

Didn't Palin clean Biden's clock in the debates? That's gone "down the memory hole." Instead, we're repeatedly reminded of Charlie ("Acorn? Acorn who?") Gibson's inane "Bush Doctrine" question.

You could just see how Andrea

You could just see how Andrea seethed over being held behind a police line like some "ordinary person."

"Don't you know who I am?"

Officer over comm system: "send psych team ASAP; we have an ugly woman who doesn't know who she is."

All in all, a weird variation on the Monica behind the rope line with Clinton video.

One of AMG's more

One of AMG's more entertaining recent threads. And a nice video. I enjoyed Palin's cheerful dismissal of the Newsweek cover that concerned dear Andrea so deeply.

I guess Andrea is not used to

I guess Andrea is not used to being brushed off as irrelevant. Hopefully, a sign of more to come.

How about Martha Stewart?

I wonder how she feels about Obama's Teleprompter Dependence? (not that CNN would ever ask such a thing)

By their focus on her body

By their focus on her body and her sexuality, leftists are defiling Palin.

They are wilding her.

The Left declared war on Palin because she threatens their existence. Democrats need women dependent and scared so that women will vote for liberals.

A strong, self sufficient woman, Palin eschews their protection. Drop her off in the Alaskan bush, and she'll survive just fine, thank you very much. Palin doesn't need or want anything from liberals.

Sarah's already done that

Sarah's already done that many times, try reading her book. What more do you need to "find out?"

The more I learn about her, the more I like her. Has nothing to do with her "looks" and everything to do with her "heart." She epitomizes "Peace through Strength" and will prove it through the continual viceral attacks from the left.

In contrast, remember when Algore tried repeatedly to prove to people he was an Alpha and drew constant laughter? No lib would ever survive what Sarah is about to face.
