Georgetown - Today, Bruce Poliquin, candidate for Maine Governor, promoted Brian Phillips to Communications Director for the campaign. Phillips, who was previously serving as Campaign Coordinator for Poliquin, will be responsible for all communication functions, including press outreach, developing strategic communications, and coordinating new media.

"Brian has been an essential member of the team and a major part of the success we've had this far," said Poliquin. "As Communications Director, he fills a core function of the campaign in helping us reach out directly to voters."

Phillips previously served as Communications Director for Rep. Steve Pearce's campaign for U.S. Senate. He also held the position of Press Secretary in Pearce's personal office in Washington DC. Prior to that, Phillips was Director of Media Relations for the Tax Foundation and served on the communications team at The Heritage Foundation for several years.
