Bruce Poliquin back to his dirty tricks

Well that didn't take long. Bruce Poliquin, Maine's perennial losing candidate, is already attacking his fellow Republicans (AGAIN).

http://www.pressherald.com/blogs/capitolticker/213832771.html

"On June 24 Poliquin filed a Freedom of Access Act request with Chris Roney, the general counsel for the Finance Authority of Maine. FAME is the quasi-state agency that provides financial assistance to Maine businesses. Poliquin is interested in documents related to Moosehead Furniture Co. in Monson."

"Tardy, now a State House lobbyist, is also considering a CD-2 run. If he does his venture with Moosehead Furniture is likely to become an issue during what could be a crowded Republican primary. The company went belly-up in 2010, putting approximately 40 people out of work. "

--------------------------------

Josh Tardy is not even a candidate yet, and Bruce Poliquin is already trying to dig up dirt on him. This is exactly the scumbag M/O this guy has showed every time he's run (and lost). Remember his scumbag political team from Tennessee? Looks like they're back too:
"Poliquin has also twice retained the services of GOP operative Tyler Harber, who has been accused of deploying some unorthodox tactics. "

Bruce attacked Les Otten in 2010, denied it, then attacked him openly after at first denying it. Then in 2012 he pretended Paul LePage had endorsed him, to the point where LePage even had to issue a statement saying he didn't endorse him. Now we can see Bruce live in action digging through Tardy's garbage.

Will someone please tell Bruce to go away?

Here we go again. Poliquin

Here we go again. Poliquin and his amateur hour dirty trick consultant are back. He has tried this same thing twice now to no avail - Gov and Senate. The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over again and getting the same result......guess Bruce has never heard of that one. Using out of state dirty trick political consultants does not work in Maine - never has, never will. Sad part is, Bruce just doesn't get it - at this point he could not get elected dog catcher anywhere in the state of Maine. He was supposed to run for the state senate but I heard that he decided not to because losing a state senate race would be the nail in the coffin - even for Bruce. BTW, that state senate race is in the 1st CD........how about the residency issue? FYI Bruce, you need to first become a carpet bagger before running.

Bruce Poliquin, the guy who

Bruce Poliquin, the guy who had to go to the Supreme Court to prove he wasn't breaking the law as Treasurer.
Bruce Poliquin, the guy who was pretending to raise christmas trees on his multi-million dollar estate so he could dodge taxes.
Bruce Poliquin, the guy who lied about attacking Les Otten on this very forum, before he came back and attacked Les Otten on television.
Bruce Poliquin, who was a board member of the Natural Resources Council of Maine (NRCM).
Bruce Poliquin, who donated money to anti-gun rights groups.
Bruce Poliquin, who lost the 2010 primary for Governor.
Bruce Poliquin, who lost the 2012 primary for Senator.
Could it really be that this same Bruce Poliquin is going to run for office AGAIN?

Good lord. I wish rich people like this would just give their money to me, instead of throwing it down the rat hole of hubris-driven political pursuits.

It's hard to imagine that a marginal candidate would further marginalize himself by switching districts, although he may already own property there. How important is the 'primary' residence?

Who's to say he isn't providing cover for someone else?

Poliquin's actions go to

Poliquin's actions go to further one person and one person alone: Bruce Poliquin.
I also understand he is trying to get Blaine Richardson to run against Susan Collins so he can get him out of the CD2 primary.

I am surprised so many thoughtful people have figured Bruce out. But I think the rank and file may still be in the dark.

Tardy? Poliquin? Cain?

Tardy? Poliquin? Cain? Jackson? Baldacci?

Sheesh. The Second CD race is shaping up as an effort to prove the old saw that "in the land of the blind, the one-eyed man is king."

ED thank you for your opinion

ED thank you for your opinion as to BP's tactics, but that really isn't what I was asking.
I am sure Ferret Face is everything you say or believe but just what do you have to support this claim.
I believe a FOIA request as a basis for all this conjecture is possibly no less unclean than the ferrets' litter box.

For the record, one only has

For the record, one only has to be a resident of the state to run for Congress, there is no requirement that a candidate live in the district.

See U.S. Constitution, Article I, §2

(or page 2 of the candidates guide from the ME SOS / page 8 of the PDF: http://www.maine.gov/sos/cec/elec/2012guide.pdf)

Technically, no move is required - however, making the case to the voters of a district is another story but it has been done. The same rules apply in the US Senate as well (Hillary Clinton & Robert Kennedy come immediately to mind, I'm sure there have been others).

wow - middle school is out for the summer and the kids are posting on AMG. Just look at the name calling and personal insults.
It would be nice to read some information without having to sort through the rude comments that have nothing to do with anything important.

edited to add: I apologize. Not all middle school students are like that.

I second Peter's comment. And

I second Peter's comment.

And whoever decided to insert "ferret face" into the discussion forfeits serious consideration of his/her comments.

I do not have a negative

I do not have a negative opinion of Bruce Poliquin. I have met him a few times but I have not had any personal dealings with him. I totally appreciate his pointed line of question of Dale McCormick..former democratic state treasure, former head of Maine state Housing....they are still looking for the millions of dollars that cannot be accounted for when she arranged for computer IT services.
It is possible that I am simply ignorant....it would not be the first time I was taken to school.
I don't quite know what to do with the 'ferret faced' comments. It does not sound positive and I can only guess that it refers to his personal appearance?? Is that the basis for the term....does it refer to how he looks? Like the rest of us, he did not get to choose his appearance.

I find Mr. Poliquin to be a very nice man to talk with. He is engaging and very smart. He has the means to run a great campaign. He's a conservative and I like that. Then why does he need to try to tear down Josh Tardy who isn't even a candidate? Slow down Bruce...take a breath and try not to ruin people along the way. We do expect better from you. If you can't provide it, then you are not my candidate. The ends do not justify the means.

Mel that would be Bob H. . As

Mel that would be Bob H. .
As to the other concerns well they seem to be standard around here at times.
I would still like to know how a FOIA request equals a run for a congressional seat.
I did feel "freak" was excessive !
