Huh???

Oh; PUh-LEEEEZE!!!! :P

I see that our friend Ethan Strimling, reknown anti-2nd-Amendment pol, is considering a run for the US Congress.
And given Maine's affection for liberals and exodus of working-class pragmatists, he'll probably be a shoe-in.

The Brady bunch will just love that!

It might not be a bad idea to start scouting out a few secure cache sites, fellas.

They're serving PORK?? How insensitive of 'em! Don't they know that the Muslims will be OFFENDED?!

Speaking of which - does anyone know how many members of the ROP are currently in league with the Brady Bunch et al in their efforts to legislatively disarm American Citizens? I'll bet that there are some, and that it's a well guarded secret, too.

Wherever strict repressive "gun control" laws are in effect, I'll bet that darned few of the anti-gun Gestapo ever check the cellars of the local Mosques. Anyone know somebody in NJ or Chicago who you could check with on that?

Why poor Buzz? I know he is dead and that is too bad but he was very anti gun. Had he remained alive we had the chance to show him the truth of his anti gun thinking and now that he is dead most likely he is knows it as well.

You know you’ve reached the pinnacle of hypocrisy when you’re the head of the organization that spearheaded federal campaign finance reform and you’ve failed to file 7 consecutive quarterly reports with the Federal Elections Commission.

Here you go Uncle Jacque, this should make you feel safer. Strimling doesn't want to have guns and look what is in charge of.

Hey Distributist, I hope your "Poor Buzz" remark was nothing other than a comment on a good man whose life ended far too early after a courageous and dignified fight with cancer. As for you Gaffer, you are a moron to suggest that in death, he now understands the "truth" about guns, whatever that means. You are talking about a man who was loved and respected by many people, a man who had the courage to stand up for his convictions and was nothing other than a man of integrity, humility and dedication to the State of Maine. I doubt you would have been able to hold your own in a civil debate over guns with the likes of Buzz.

If there are limits on free speech, why do 2nd Amendment zealots fail to accept the right to bear arms can also be limited in certain ways without gutting the rights afforded by the Constitution?

"If there are limits on free speech, why do 2nd Amendment zealots fail to accept the right to bear arms can also be limited in certain ways without gutting the rights afforded by the Constitution?"

Good question. There are few limits on free speech. This very forum is a good example of that. The 'People' in the First Amendment are the same 'People' as in the Second Amendment. All of the amendments are about human rights. Violent felons and the insane should not be allowed to posess firearms. However, speaking harshly to someone should not preclude a citizen from exercising his rights. Our nation does not have a "Bill of Needs or a Bill of Wants". We have a Bill of Rights. Just because you don't like what a person thinks, says or does will not allow you to take away his rights to do as he pleases.

The Brady bunch doesn't like the human rights in our Constitution. They not only don't want us to have firearms, they don't want our kids to talk about firearms in school. They forget that our founding fathers were not great because they were fine speakers or gifted writers. They were great because they shot the bastards; a point that should be covered again in our schools as it was when I went to school.

'2nd Amendment zealots"

I call them patriots,The founders would call them that too. But its the Anti-2nd Amendment zealots" and their ilk that would bastardize the constitution and take the defender of all other admendments away from the people.Chellie Pingree and Ethan Strimling are a disgrace. And no Kenny" the right to bear arms can also be limited in certain ways without gutting the rights afforded by the Constitution?? It can`t................

Let's not forget that Amendment #2 is about keeping people free from tyranny, NOT hunting or other shooting sports. To say a firearm or associated accessory has "No sporting use" and ban it is to fundamentally misunderstand, perhaps intentionally, the Amendment.

The right to bear arms should be withheld from those who the law removes other rights, and only for the same period those other rights are removed. There should be no other laws in effect, whatsoever, pertaining to law abiding citizens. This means we go back and remove all traces of The National Firearms Act of 1934 and the Gun Control Act of 1968.

This country is being disarmed literally, mentally, and spiritually. That is why this household places emphasis on all three facets of good citizenship.

Zealot? When it comes to threats to humanity - absolutely!

Our Constitution gives us three boxes to work with; the ballot box, the jury box and the cartridge box. They are equally important.
