For a quick re-cap of the recent political career path
of Cape Elizabeth Civil Rights Lawyer Cynthia Dill...

In roughly the last YEAR, what a dedicated Public Servant!

=> Member of the Maine House, resigned her seat.
=> Candidate for the Maine Senate, won special election.
=> Member of the Maine Senate, spotty attendance record.
=> Candidate for U.S. Senate, after incomplete Maine Senate term.
=> Candidate for U.S. House, after she thought Pingree would run.
=> Candidate for U.S. Senate, for the time being anyway!

It is my understanding that she has ticked off the leadership of the Maine AFL-CIO for various reasons. She seems to have little or no understanding of the fact that she is completely unknown outside of Cape Elizabeth. Even worse she has no idea how much being a rich liberal lawyer from Cape Elizabeth will hurt her candidacy outside of the Greater Portland Area. Add those two factors to her support for a national park and a relationship with Roxanne Quimby and her chances of getting elected to a US Senate Seat are pretty slim. I am eager to see how this will play out. It will be fun to watch here get thrown back into her place by the Baldacci people.

And the GOOD news is... Ms Dill is not exactly a favorite among the Dems in Augusta, so they are not putting in a "place-holder" candidate for that Maine Senate seat.

So she's GONE after getting trounced in the June Primary.

Don't forget - she paid herself a salary to write a blog, and bragged about how she used Clean Election money to buy a laptop for herself.

In Al Diamon's column on the U.S. Senate race,
he gives Cynthia Dill all the attention she's earned:

ZIPPO... NADA... ZILCH... NONE!!!

Wow, you guys need to learn to embrace Ms Dill. She will get 15-20% of the vote next November.

And she will be the butt of some of the best jokes throughout the election, I might add.

Seriously, what would be more entertaing than a state wide DEM candidate getting LESS votes than Libby Mitchell?

And who can forget this GOOFY appearance... meant to be a serious bid for political office???

She looks more like a high school sophomore with ADD running for Class Secretary!!!

"...I believe the government can play a critical role in our lives..."

That says it all!

First it was the Republicans;
"I don't think the two parties are screwed up," said state Sen. Cynthia Dill, D-Cape Elizabeth, "I think the Republicans are screwed up."
Now it's the Angusdems.

Poor Cindy.
She has no where left to turn.
She might consider the Green party, except for that "vow of poverty" thingy.

The mere fact that Dill thought the party would support her when they have Angus running shows just how delusional she is.

Dill's lack of support from the DNC and Maine's Democratic faithful clearly shows that Angus King is the "Democrat of Choice" for November's senatorial race - no matter how many times he says he's an Independent. The dollars, and the numbers, do not lie.

I probably missed it but I'd say,
"Dill is in a pickle."

Hey. no butt jokes. Naran frowns on that.

The Senate Seat is Angus King's to lose.

And after the obvious deal they cut, Mr. Sussman is NOT going to let this happen.

For appearances' sake though, both Pingree and Sussman donated to Dill's campaign... but will she be their personal guest for Thanksgiving Dinner?

I'd say she's more likely to be the main course.

Let the Pingree/Sussman/King cabal do their own dirty work. Every vote cast for Cynthia comes from Angus's votes. Not one single vote taken from Cynthia will go to Charlie. We should start an organization called TRUE Independents For Dill.

Thanksgiving falls after the election, during the lame duck session. It should be a very interesting time.

Setting the Record Straight
Cynthia Dill defends job creation claim

By Matt Drange, Maine Center for Public Interest Reporting
Posted July 25, 2012

...snip
Cynthia Dill....stated on her campaign website last month that she “has a record of … creating quality jobs” during her six years in the state Legislature.

But an analysis of Dill’s legislative history... found that claim to be largely premature. To date, only five permanent jobs can be attributed to Dill’s legislation, plus another 323 temporary positions — the bulk of which are construction jobs.

Really she created jobs, how? My guess is she has never created a job using her own money, unless you include paying yourself to do a blog.

Funny, she didn't mention all the clean up jobs she helped create by supporting the occupy bums that trashed the public's parks.

Forget about the Maine Democratic party endorsing or supporting Dill.

I just want to know if they think this is acceptable behavior for any candidate from their party.

The Maine Democratic party condoning this should make clear how shameless they have actually become,
especially given their faux outrage at every word spoken or action taken by Republicans.

Dill uses Aurora shooting to drum up cash

Ben Grant, Emily Cain, Justin Alfond, Barry Hobbins, Mike Michaud, Chellie Pingree... would any of you like to comment on this?

From the link posted above by Objectivist:

-----------------------

Maine Democratic Lawmaker Uses Aurora Shooting To Drum Up Cash
...snip

"How many murdered children does it take?"...."My opponents... agree it was OK for the Aurora killer to be able to legally purchase a 100-round magazine of ammunition, and I don't. That's the difference. Can you chip in $100 today?"

After asking for cash, Dill's E-mail went on to say she was "sick and tired of the bloodbath," and of "seeing mothers weeping over the bodies of innocent children slaughtered."
...snip

"Where will it happen next?" she asked. "Give $100 to our campaign."

***************

Number One -- as if Dill would have any pull to get gun laws overhauled in DC, even on the ever-lengthening longshot that she has any chance of being elected in November.

Number Two -- for shameless fundraising tactics, it just doesn't get any worse than this. I didn't think she could outdo her laptop purchased with taxpayer money and the "aerobics on the Veteran's memorial stone" incident, but it appears she's capable of worse.

When will we see a disclaimer from Ben Grant and the Maine Democratic Party, stating their dismay with her brazen use of dead children to raise campaign shekels?
