It was good to see and meet D'Amboise at caucus, he said he had raised 1/2 million in funds so far, looks like he is a viable candidate and will look forward to voting for him in primary.

and I forgot to ask him about how he felt about preemptive wars.

I would b e curious to hear his answer. He will get my vote by default as far as I can see right now. Can't really see myself voting for IAD and no way for snowe in primary anyway.

Did they do a straw poll for the U. S. Senate race?

BANGOR, Maine — “Regardless of who the nominee is, come 2013 we will have a Republican back in the White House,” Snowe said.... “We must...ensure...Obama is a one-term president.”

[A] representative for...Dodge...said...when Snowe voted to pass the health care law, she...supported it.

“I challenge the senator to defend her votes on the stimulus package, food safety and NDAA,” D’Amboise said, referring to the National Defense Authorization Act.

Maine Republicans start weeklong caucuses

AUGUSTA — Snowe said it’s not so much that the GOP has shifted further to the right. Instead, she sees a growing sense of frustration with politics in general by libertarians, Constitutionalists and conservatives.

“We’ve seen this explosion in debt and people aren’t seeing any positive changes in their own lives. They’re worried about the indebtedness of future generations,” she told The Associated Press. “We have to decide how we’re going to achieve the ultimate goal. That’s important to the overall Republican Party. You have to build a consensus,” she added.

Scott gave a presentation at a Tea Party Meeting I was at a while back.

I told him I'd vote for a ham sandwich before I'd vote for the Queen of Prenatal Infanticide, then I asked him if he had mustard. Seriously though, despite his lack of a political resume' beyond being a town Selectman for a while, he does strike me as being a really likeable, genuine, and sincere Christian Patriot who really wants the best for our State and Nation.

Surviving a primary against the Snowe Machine will be like a mouse making it through a commercial meat grinder - especially seeing as who has been installed as our SoS, IMHO. We do wish him well, though, and I intend to wear his button and put his bumper sticker on my jalopy just to annoy the establishment as much as possible.
If I can get a hold of one of his yard signs I will surely stick it out by the road, and see if anyone bothers to go out of their way to tear it down.
Most of the moonbats probably don't even know who he is. I doubt that many of our local Republicans know who he is, either.
