You really believe we are a super power???? How long have we been in Iraq??? Was only going to be a brief time. 4 years later it is worse then when we went in.
"Was only going to be a brief time."
Said who, unionman?
Not the President.
But, I welcome you to study the transcripts (archived to present) found here and prove me wrong.
Oh yes, since you will consider this a "biased" source, please search the ones of your choice. And do provide links for our review.
you don't believe in yourself.
I don't blame you, unionman.
America thrives on capitalism and freedom. These things are
anathema to today's union leadership. They want socialism
and shared misery. Witness their push for universal(ly poor) health care.
I've been a union worker for 25 years. I already have great health care.
Yet the (either ignorant or evil) AFL-CIO leadership pushes for mediocrity.
I can't wait to retire and join the real world.
You know, the one where America is the hyper-power.
Socialism is dead. America will eventually accept her charge.
We will free the world and peace will reign.
For now, we must beat our ploughshares into swords and go to war with evil.
Some of us will cower and wring our hands and withdraw into our narcissistic world.
Some will fight to secure freedom for our posterity and that of all the world's people.
We all have to choose sides.
I choose to fight.
(You must have learned that in college, GOP. Some people call it historic revisionism when facts are changed. LBJ fully expected the U.S. to blow the Vietcong apart when he sent 100s of thousands of troops to Vietnam.)
Will Collins and Snow step forward? Have they said ANYTHING about Reid yet?
I can see that the republicans don't want to help the poor and the elderly. Maybe we should be fighting them here and we would be better off.
Republicans don't want to help the elderly and the poor? Boy, that's so out in left field. Really. If your yardstick for measuring help is government funding - how do you square the growth in federal spending on social programs under Pres. Bush and the GOP controlled Congress with your statement?
If your yardstick for measuring help is some genetic dispostion you think Republicans have toward the elderly and the poor - I resent it. It's a b.s. stereotype.

Chris~ I have a sincere question. Since BC ~ The Democrat party has been on every side of the issue.
Is that a good message to send to the world?
I recall the democrats were, at one time, behind the president to invade iraq and now they are squarely in the opposition for a variety of decent reasons.
I care about the rest of the world's opinion about as much as you do.
To me an admission of a mistake is honorable, especially when innocent lives are being snuffed and an entire country has been turned upside down.
Pride is the first of the deadlies for a reason.
For us to continue an occupation under these circumstances looks kind of dumb and we are getting that kind of feedback, even from the liberated themselves.
I can see that the republicans don't want to help the poor and the elderly. Maybe we should be fighting them here and we would be better off.
Hey Unionman, I bet a month's salary that I give more to charity in a year then you will in your entire life. I'll double the bet and say I volunteer more hours at a local nursing home in a month then you do in a year. Oh here's a shocker....I'm a REPUBLICAN.
Congratulations, along with the Useless one, you now win the AMG Award for Insulting Comment of the Month! Why don't you remove your foot from your mouth.
Mistakes are always made in war ~ commanders in the field have always changed direction when at war ~ seldom are they are at war with Congress.
Guess we will have to respectfully disagree.
I don't believe the warriors are aiming at congress or visa versa.
Congress has it's sights on the CIC, the decider.
We've got this great system of balance and the allowance of pure power has never worked out real well.
congress is doing its job as designed by the constitution and thank god for the return to balance last November.
Rush is right, Democrats OWN defeat.
as the dubber's doing and his alone. Making war is serious business. He failed to do his duty as president and involved us in this based on deception.
Now the goal is unite and democratize the country with three factions involved who've hated one another for 2000 years. An absurd and unachievable goal.
Why waste more american service people's lives, and money?
charlie ~ just try to be proud of this nation. Just try please.
of my country and love it as much as you do. We differ on Iraq.
I suspect we're aligned on many other issues.

We deposed Saddam, winning the "Iraq war".
I'm glad you chose to surrender.
I had no doubt you would.
Fact show republicans support the rich and hurt the poor. Where have you been the past few years. Look at the way they treat the elderly and the poor..
I'm glad you chose to surrender.

I chose to surrender?
What the hell are you talking about?
You, who declares we won the Iraq War?
Fact show republicans support the rich and hurt the poor. Where have you been the past few years. Look at the way they treat the elderly and the poor..
Let's see the facts?
when your argument consisted of "Cool".
If you don't have a rational argument, ridicule.
That's rule #1 for liberals because they rarely rely on reason.
Emotions are so much easier to express, anyway, eh?
If you don't have a rational argument, ridicule.
Or quote Rush.
For one who professes to believe that a sense of moral superiority is the root cause of war, you sure emit a morally superior odor, Pat.
Why not just post the facts?? Did any of you White Flag Frenchman read the quotes I posted near the start of this post or do you simply choose to ignore what YOUR leaders said about Saddam??Do you choose to ignore the fact that America has been attacked for the last 30 years by Islamo fascists?? The war is lost??
What is Reid, Reidtarded or something?? The war has barely started. Anyone remember the Korean War?? Is that war over?? Do we still have troops there?? Anyone remember the Cold War. How long before that one ended?? Muslims and Christians have been killing each other for thousands of years. There is a large faction of Muslims that want YOU dead. They will not stop therefore we cannot stop. Unless of course you have death wish or want America to become an Islamic state. What I really don't understand is that the Dems love everything about the Muslims that they hate about Christians. No freedom, no right to vote for woman, woman treated as objects belonging to their husbands, forced religious teaching in schools, hatred of America and Christianty. Actually the last 2 they do have in common with the Muslims. What say you Dems about your leaders statements??
That's rule #1 for liberals because they rarely rely on reason.
From the fella who proclaims the Iraq war has been won by America?
War is bad for flowers and other livings things, JR. Please leave the Muslims out of this... this is between "Dubbya" and those who did not vote for him... twice. Don't try and confuse things with historical accuracy.
Anyone remember the Korean War?? Is that war over??
This is amazing, here we have a guy who is still fighting the Korean war and another who says we won in Iraq.
You guys ought to be taking some nervous pills.
Pat and Coose make quite the pair. Can we trade you guys for a couple of moderate muslims?
Well dist. if you think these war authorities got it accurate we might want to trade you for a squash.
Coose, the Korean War has never officially ended. Of course, neither has it been declared a war either. Yet we are still there, wether you choose to ignore that fact or not.
I never said we have won in Iraq, I said we haven't lost in Iraq.
For a Dem to call GW an idiot, when it is the Dems who can't see the forest for the trees, is truly amazing. Tell me, Mr. Left Wing prognosticators, what exactly do you think pulling out of Iraq will accomplish in both the near term, 1 year, and the long term, say 5-6 years?? Enlighten us.
