Maine voters seek female senator. Enter Angus King

Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee...has been reluctant to rally behind Cynthia Dill....
[T]here is very little practical difference between the woman-related policies Dill would support versus those of King.
Many agree that women are best suited to defending women's rights on Capitol Hill. But that's not enough to convince the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee to support Dill.
Dill is struggling to raise money.

They are.
That's why Dill is the candidate.
Only $25,000 raised for Dill? That's it? And half of that will go to pay her for her blog.
When the BDN isn't flattering Dill, I know they must be in the bag for King.
Is Dunlap completely out of the picture?
The proof that Dill is already an after-thought was delivered when the President spoke at several recent events in Portland. Instead of being prominently featured during the day's events, Dill was across the street with OWS, selling cookies and trying to get some media attention.
Can anyone spell H-Y-P-O-C-R-I-S-Y? Maybe we can volunteer to make some cookies bearing the slogan, so she can hand them out at her next bake sale.
There is no doubt in anyone's mind that if Dill had an invite, she would have been inside the museum, posing for photos with the President and hobnobbing with the rich and infamous of Maine.
Moonbat vs. Ding bat!
OMG Naran that is hilarious! When some Democrat friends of mine told me Dill was not liked within the party, they weren't kidding. What I don't understand is why she doesn't become a Green and run for the Senate as a Green. Then she would be in the finals. She doesn't owe the Democrats anything.
Put a green label on her and she becomes even LESS relevant.
If that's possible.
The Greens don't have as much money and access to public funding of expensive laptops. She stays in the Dem party because she knows that's where the big bucks are housed.
I also wonder about what Tom said earlier. Dunlap seems like he would be a much stronger candidate. He would more effectively split the vote than Dill.
I think Dunlap would be a better candidate than Dill state-wide, but I don't think the Dem party thinks they have a chance of winning with King running.
Whoever runs from the Dems is going to have to take one for the team, and it will be a devasting loss than would be a black mark on any long-term serious political resume.
Maybe, though, it will help Dill by re-enforcing her moonbat credentials, and getting some statewide exposure.

"Mr. DeMille, I'm ready for my closeup, now."
Ms, Dill has earned the honor.

The Democrats couldn't even get 20% in the last statewide election.
20% can never win in a three-way race. They might as well support King.
