For those who are still

For those who are still strongly supporting LaPage after all this, here is a question for you, all these issues that have begun to come to light which reflect on his character, or lack there of, the question is, what is he like off camera, are these character issues just the tip of the iceberg, what are we not seeing, one has to ask...!!

johnd, the anti-intellectual

johnd, the anti-intellectual loose cannon is just what the supporters like in the guy.
They are making applause for the explosions about every third day. I'm with them in the applause.

Quote:Scott: I think you
Scott: I think you should have some t-shirts made up with Paul's quote on them for an AMG fundraiser. They would be big sellers.
You think people would buy t-shirts which say, "I'm about ready to punch AJ Higgins." ?

And you think Scott should associate that statement with AMG?

Johnd - would you rather have

Johnd - would you rather have "rough, unhewn honesty," or "PC, hidden thuggery"?

I'm voting for LePage.

Im not sure...but I think you just said you are voting for a third party...right...? Cuz the LePage has proved that he is rough...unhewn...but not honest...and his thuggery has not been hidden so far...

I wouldnt mind so much...which means I wouldnt post so much...if Paul LePages supporters would stop pretending hes something hes not...

He isnt honest...he is a thug...but so what...? He has other endearing characteristics about him...I guess...I mean...rilly....he must have them...cuz I know a lot of people who have integrity who support him...but being blind to what youre dealing with is...rilly unhealthy...

If what I wanted for governor

If what I wanted for governor for the next four years was a polished politician I'd have voted for Steve Abbott in the primary, I didn't. I like LePage's rough, street wise style. He'll bring a new dynamic to Augusta. Hopefully along the lines of Harry Truman. There is a bomb to be dropped you know.

Oh, the same old crap

Oh, the same old crap politics and politicians, like Mitchell and Cutler. I hate being mean, and I rarely use labels. BUT, the morons in this state (including some folks on here) who are trying to re-define humor as a BAD thing..........how very 1984ish of you! This is where attack mode is needed. Some folks on here are saying it was NOT humor. REALLY?? Okay, first person to never have teased about "I'm gonna make you an offer you can't refuse", or "wait til I get my hands on him!" or a million other JOKES.........please raise your hand. I didn't think so.
So let me ask those of you who have even the SLIGHTEST problem with what LePage said: What exactly wa wrong or inappropriate about his actions?? (verbal OR nonverbal.........good grief, who posted about THAT?!?) Come on, it's easy to accuse and cast aspersions. But it's funny how often the cowards among us quickly change their tune when challenged to BREAK IT DOWN............."SHOW ME exactly what was wrong with that". I am challenging those of you who are criticizing LePage now to do just that.
It's beyond pathetic to engage in such sleazy, silly crap.

Too bad the relatives of the

Too bad the relatives of the men and women lost in Vietnam hadn't
actually punched Walter Cronkite in the mouth because of the distortions
regarding the war he articulated every evening.

Let's thank the internet and talk radio for exposing those in the in media
who are less than veracious.

I trust LePage more than

I trust LePage more than Libby or Cutler. I have worked around people like LePage most of my life. I wouldn't trust Libby with my money as far as I could throw her.

I like bluntness. Clearly,

I like bluntness. Clearly, LePage was joking, though I have no doubt he (jokingly) was telling the truth. I think LePage is very likeable.

The problem is that a "bring it on" attitude can be problematic in politics--makes you feel good, but it can be a stupid position to take. There' s a difference between being a "feminine metrosexual" and being a tactition. Diplomacy is a good thing.

WABI ran a poll yesterday.

In other news, DOily just typed the word "LePage".

I bet Gerald Weinand (AKA Fair Share) wishes that Mr. Udall redirected his piercing gaze to someone else for a while. Perhaps Mr. Weinand can locate that coed who caused a literary stir a while back by writing about her pubic adventures in the Bowdoin school newspaper. Maybe she’s ready for a follow-up article on her maintenance efforts (or possibly lack thereof). As I recall, Mr. Udall was quite enthralled by that episode – maybe he would again, thus freeing Mr. Weinand from all (or part) of the bright glare of the center stage lights.

I'm sure that Mr. Udall is too busy avoiding my Kennebunk thread to catch up with the Little Shaver at Bowdoin, Northarrow.
