Full disclosure. This is the rest of the caption.
. . . as part of a controlled burn. The building was burned down as part of a training exercise and to make way for a development Sunday Feb. 14, 2010.

I know that. I posted it as a joke. The pictue without a complete caption is funny to me. I guess others don't have a sense of humor.

Well, I appreciate your sense of humor, Steven; we certailnly need more in our lives, but frankly, given the intellectual quota of most who read/post on AMG didn't you foresee that most would instantly finish the caption mentally as I did. Sorry, no brag, just fact. No, that's not totally true. My first thought was that it might be a "calender" photo!!! = )))))
I find it quite funny.
Definately not something you see everyday!
Better to pose while it is still burning rather than having a photo taken with only the cellar hole and chimney left! A good training exercise for the firemen, here on the Island they use abandoned boats for the same purpose, interesting to watch them attempt to put out a fiberglass boat, we had a wooden boat that was so waterlogged that they had a hard time even getting it to burn.
Now THAT'S funny! Although since last week you were questioning your headline writing skills, I suggest you add the word "liberal" in there somewhere.
Thanks for the laugh!

It is a training exercise and I see nothing wrong with it. If it were the headquarters for the Maine Democratic Party, I might be able to muster up an iota or two of concern...
