Further Evidence of Sussman Influence at MTM

One of the most liberal bloggers in Maine has been hired as a “staff writer” at the Portland Press Herald.

Colin Woodward’s far-left views on everything from the Tea Party to the occupy movement to Paul LePage have been well documented here on AMG and elsewhere. (See: “Maine's Madman Governor Paul LePage Strikes Again” as just one example)

The paper’s Web site lists Woodard’s bio: “Colin Woodard has covered politics and elections for more than two decades, from Bosnia and Bucharest to Washington, D.C., Augusta, and Portland City Hall. He has written for a wide range of national and international publications and is the author of four books, including "American Nations," a history of North America's regional cultures. He joined the Portland Press Herald at the end of April and covers political finance and lobbying, among other things.”

What? Nothing about his regular contributions to the likes of “The Daily Beast” the Portland Phoenix and Washington Monthly? Strange.

Hmmm; perhaps this will start a male hydraulics contest with Nimwitz.

Yet another moonbat cranking

Yet another moonbat cranking out left wing drivel. Ya, that ought to boost circulation.

Let's have a show of hands.

Let's have a show of hands. How many people here are still buying (supporting the liberals) these newspapers? And why?

I don't, and I don't even read Nemitz online. He has nothing to say that I am interested in, and I refuse to give him an audience.

Controversy sells. Everytime Nemitz has a post on AMG, it is money to MTM. Ka-ching, ka-ching. Sussman says thanks.

The ((BIG)) difference here

The ((BIG)) difference here is that Nimitz is a columnist, meaning he merely expresses his opinion and everyone accepts it as such. Woodard will be writing news stories meant to be objective.

Based on the output from

Based on the output from Mistler since he joined the MTM papers, they should ditch the illusion of having a "news" department, and just run all their stuff as columns. They're all opinion pieces, regardless of the pretense.

You're right about Mistler.

You're right about Mistler. He can't help himself, lathering a "news" story with soapy babble.

I hardly even look at them on-line anymore. The way the site is set up it's too hard to find interesting articles, and the lefty slant of everything else is just tedious.

I buy the weekend editions as a form of counterintelligence. They tell me about the current moonbat agenda. I would read them on line, but they are password protected.
