Indian delegates seek sit-down with Elizabeth Warren
Tribal activist: ‘Shame on her’

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Elizabeth Warren can’t escape her Cherokee heritage controversy even at this gathering of loyal Democrats, as a contingent of skeptical American Indian delegates — including the great-grandson of Geronimo — are inviting Warren to a meeting tomorrow to explain her ancestry claims.

Another popular nickname for

Another popular nickname for Warren - Lie-A-Watha.

Harlyn Geronimo, the great-grandson of the legendary Apache warrior, said he didn’t know the details of Warren’s claims but wanted to make sure she didn’t try to “take advantage” of her Cherokee claims. ...

“I wouldn’t vote for anybody that is being dishonest, and it’s unfair to our people,” he said.

Interesting - the article indicates these folks all carry ID cards proving their Native American ancestry, and believe everyone of the same descent should carry a similar card. No wonder they're having qualms about the Democratic candidate - aren't Democrats allergic to photo ID, except at their conventions?

Side note ---> Great-grandson Geronimo has an absolutely magnificent face - talk about "from the ages."

She just ignores anyone who questions her claims, and calls them Republican plants. That's how liberals operate. When caught in a blatent lie, just attack the people who question you and ignore them.

A simple DNA test would solve all of her problems. The fact that she hasn't produced one tells you all you need to know.

I dunno....carrying a card to prove what race you're from? Do I need a card to prove I'm of Irish and Scottish decent in order to wear a kilt? Seems a little....well...?

I can understand perhaps some sort of proof for government benefits, but then the benefits themselves are another whole issue.

Butch - the Native Americans

Butch - the Native Americans claim the cards are for reasons of pride in their ethnic heritage. They're also tired of all the faux Indians (like Warren) trying to claim part of their reparations and use the horrendous treatment of the Indian peoples as political cred.

Nobody requires them to carry the cards. They do it willingly.

Apollo -- I can't wait to see her trying to "ignore" Geronimo. I hope somebody gets film.

jim Corr -- I agree that a simple DNA test would solve the question of Warren's ancestry. I'm sure Louis Gates would be delighted to help her, as he has so many other notables.

Yes, I notived that, and look at the collar, that's a button down shirt, I think, is he wearing a jacket?

It's the headdress that really grabs me, I do a little craftwork form time to time to understand how our forefathers lived, and that is a beautiful head-dress. I'm guessing those are real eagle feathers which you need a licence to possess, (by proving you are a native American - probably by showing your card) and the red thread work is beautiful. The beads are simple and elegant.

I tried to do beadwork, but after about 15 minutes I "got the idea" and put the bead kit away. If there are a couple of years that I don't have anythng to do, I am going to make some nice beaded moccasins.

Same here - having done some

Same here - having done some needlework myself, I am always in awe of the skill with which people long ago were able to craft such items. The headdress does look like real Eagle feathers -- they are likely old, and passed down through the family. The handiwork is beautiful. We think we're so great at things today, but honestly - if the Big One ever did drop, we'd all be wearing rags and eating gravel within a year.

That's why I practice the old crafts - just in case!

I had a tomahawk I made from frontier-type materials, the base was a heavy throwing axe, and I used feathers, thread, rawhide, beads suede, leather, horsehair, just to try woking with the different materials. Came out to be a pretty fearsome instrument, I'll see if I can find a picture of it to post.

I think Trump's heart was in the right place but he did make an ass of himself, this time. It was out of place and he forgot the punchline (faux, not po).

Funny would have been if, after the event, when asked to comment, every member of his administration should have been instructed to answer 'Yes and we were all a little surprised that Senator Warren didn't show up!'

Has anyone else noticed how the media has conveniently avoided resurrecting 'faux'?

Trump did make the statement

Trump did make the statement in an inappropriate venue, but it does not negate the fact that just because warren once got laid in the back of a Jeep Cherokee ,she is still not a Native American....

Trump is such a tool. Warren

Trump is such a tool. Warren will always be ridiculed for this, which is fine. Fair game for eternity. But you don’t do it when you’re honoring native veterans. But that’s Trump, always having to be the center of attention, making it about himself. It’s pathetic.

Too bad none of them said anything about draft dodgers. Now THAT would be appropriate, and funny.

If Warren is forever Fauxcahontas, trump is forever the Bone Spur in Chief.

The direct relative of Pocahontas said that Trump does not offend her and that he is a hero...

Debbie 'White Dove" Porreco said...
“If Pocahontas were alive today, she would be very proud of President Trump,” she added. “Just like Pocahontas was a heroine, Donald Trump is going to be our hero.”

The fact that that empty bag, Warren is such a hero among the Dumbocraps tell a lot about their mind(less) set. Just take a look at the leading Dumbocraps....they are all psychologically repugnant, ethically void, physically ugly and mentally spleeny, little spoiled brats.
