God Squad and the End Times Prophecies

On this morning's "God Squad" on WVOM, the topic somehow turned to Glenn Beck and his claims that the end times are near.
They ridiculed him, though I could not listen to them any longer after Ric Tyler said, "I didn't know he was a theologian?"
No one on the panel explained that one needn't be a theologian to interpret the bible, and Christ specifically told us the signs in order for us to be able to discern the season.
Am I the only one that gets perturbed when the media poo-poos Revelation?
I listened to most of it, Michelle, and I, too, was disappointed that the topic was not taken with more of a serious bent than it was. Our church has been spending the last 4 weeks on the topic of end-times prophecy so I paid particular attention. I was disheartened that a Protestant pastor who is generally knowledgeable and offers answers based on scripture seemed to want to wiggle out of the discussion rather than take the opportunity to grab the attention of those who may be unbelievers or on the spiritual fence and to speak of the consequences of unbelief. Pastor Ward, unfortunately, seemed to choose the more careful road, the more PC road, rather than the road of Truth.
As far as the mockery of Beck, I thought it was unnecessary and served only to make Ric Tyler seem jealous. I am not a regular Beck listener but I do see lots of truth in what he says and, frankly, sometimes it scares me. An hour with Beck and I want to get my family, my guns, and my gold to the basement! While he has morphed from a comedic commentator into something of an alarmist, though, are any of us prepared to say that all or even most of the conspiracies and unspoken connections/gamesmanship/corruption that he has turned up is wrong? Maybe his presentation is uncomfortable for so many because so much of it is spot-on. Does this discomfort make us want to shoot the messenger?

I did not get to hear the program Michelle, so I don't even know who was on the squad today.
I have a confidence in Matt Ward that he would not arbitrarily poo-poo anything in the Bible, but the time slot
doesn't allow proper time to even address the topic. Beck is first and foremost a Mormon. They do not hold Jesus in the same
reverence as a Christian. I wouldn't poo-poo Mr. Beck, so I can't even imagine what you heard. The loss of any soul saddens me, so I can only pray that those involved take a walk on the Damascus road.
