I dont buy for a second that 16%-22% of voters are undecided in the Gov's race. Rasmussen has it at 6% and they tend to push/use learner more than most.
It's all about the ground game now. The DEMS know it, thats why they ignored Cutler all along. They know he really isnt a factor on election day becuase he cant get his voters to the polls.
I don't agree that minds have been made up already. For myself I've been following the race since the beginning and have changed who I will be voting for. I have also seen others doing the same and then of course there are the undecideds who will either not know until they step in the booth or not vote at all. It really is LIFO race at all of levels in my opinion.
The numbers havent really changed in 3 weeks and people have already started to vote..Those who are undecided who will actually vote won't change the results. The candidate that gets the voters to the polls will win. LePage's group needs to prove they can execute, we all know Mitchell turn out her vote.
Her new motto should be "Married to the Mob"!

LePage: Mitchell 'married' to bureaucracy

PORTLAND, Maine — .... when the talk turned to education, LePage and Cutler said education reform has been slow to come in Maine in part because Mitchell and the Democratic legislative leadership are too cozy with teachers’ unions.
“Libby Mitchell is married to the union bosses and the bureaucracy in Augusta and has been most of her career,” LePage said. “It’s not about the teachers’ unions. It’s about our children.”

Peter hit it on the nose, will it be Lepage or Mitchell which does a better job of gettig their core supporters to the polls in November?
If being mad is any kind of predictor, I'd say LePage will win. Many of his supporters are mad as hell with the current situation in Augusta, which trickles down to their own communities like a fetid cesspool.
Had a visit today with a medical practitioner who I respect, and who is convinced LePage will win, even though he is not yet an enthusiastic supporter. He recognizes that Libby is "so yesterday."
He was happy to hear of my personal knowledge of LeP from some years ago.
If lePage has not chosen his key members of the cabinet - where do I send a resume?
Bill Beardsley would be a perfect fit to head up the "Nightmare" that is the current Department of Education.

opinions have already been formed
Oh, that explains the consistently high percentage of undecideds showing up in the polls.
