The Supreme Court dealt a setback to abortion clinics in a two-decade-old legal fight over antiabortion protests, ruling that federal extortion and racketeering laws can't be used to ban demonstrations. In other court action, justices were set to hear arguments in Marshall v. Marshall, a probate-law case involving Anna Nicole Smith's claim on her late husband's estate.

This is welcome news indeed. Had the court put abortion protesters in the same league as racketeers and mobsters, it would have begun a dangerous direction for this country to take.

The liberal pro-abort, anti-war activists would have been some p****d when, in a year or two, the same actions would have been brought against them, or PETA.

As the American Center for Law and Justice spokesman said, this removes a cloud that has been hanging over the head of the pro-life movement for 15 years.

The so-called National Organization of Women and un-Planned Parenthood should rightfully have their tails between their legs as they scurry back to their dens of iniquity to plan their next rabid attack on life.

Everyone should have the right to protest that which they disagree with.

Be they liberals, “peace freaks”, anti-abortion wack-jobs, or the half-wits outside Spellbound. Good ruling imho…

EDIT: Now, about the Anna Nicole Smith thing... Can we protest her?

They said the ruling was 8-0, which I find interesting.

Indeed. Someone missing today?

Maybe Pat Robertson is again praying for another of the justices to die, and someone stayed home?

Justice Samuel Alito did not participate in the decision.

I apologize for not know how to post a link right, but I wanted to call attention to restaurant owner Mike Fink's comment that he's closing his restaurant in Portland which is adjacent to an abortion provider because there are protesters out front, and "nobody wants to open a restaurant where people hold signs of dead babies out front."

My comment is:
OK, so we're in Portland, and we know that it's good medicine to take care of fetal and embryonic tissue, thereby cleansing and rejuvenating the health of women, but where are the pictures of dead babies coming from?

Obviously the abortion protesters are somehow complicit in the killing of these babies or children who are being photographed, since we know that abortion providers are not involved in such matters, being only concerned with women's health.

Why aren't these protesters being investigated? We need to find out who is responsible for the terrible atrocities in the photographs depicted. Why isn't anyone looking into this?
