Chicago, Chicago, that toddling town...from whence we garner so many of our important leaders...
A group committed to establishing an international Islamic empire and reportedly linked to Al Qaeda is stepping up its Western recruitment efforts by holding its first official conference in the U.S.
Hizb ut-Tahrir is a global Sunni network with reported ties to confessed 9/11 mastermind Khalid Sheikh Mohammed and Al Qaeda in Iraq's onetime leader Abu Musab al-Zarqawi. It has operated discreetly in the U.S. for decades.
Now, it is coming out of the shadows and openly hosting a July 19 conference entitled, "The Fall of Capitalism and the Rise of Islam," at a posh Hilton hotel in a suburb of Chicago.
That is indeed the problem, Flam. It took me quite some time to find the ONE SINGLE mention in the media of this event.
Americans have been so lulled into political oblivion by the politically correct/diversity movement they aren't noticing what's taking place right under their noses. To me it's alarming that this gathering is taking place so confidently and openly yet with so little fanfare.
True and true. Anything that could be construed as critical of Islam must not be said by the pious diversitarians.

I suppose we must endure the free association of fanatics, crack-pots, gibbering idiots, etc. What annoys me is the indiifference of out blighted media to such congregations. Let their views be known, and the views of those who scorn them.
