Just One Thing...

Welcome to Bringing In the Sheaves!

This group was created as a place where Christians and people seeking answers can discuss things without the discussions being diverted.

The guidelines of this section of the forum are few and simple:

We welcome debate, questions, and new ideas. We do not welcome pointless subversion of topics. Please don't do it.

The rest of the guidelines are the same as those of AMG's Public Square.

Anyone can read the threads on this part of the forum, but in order to post, one must ask to be allowed in. The bar is not high for posting rights. One simply needs to agree to the guidelines.

If it becomes apparent that a member cannot or will not abide by the agreement, that person's posting rights to BItS will be removed.

This is the first time I have

This is the first time I have accessed this area. I probably will not post here as it seems to be a Christian discussion site rather than a discussion of religion or non-religion. I am an Agnostic and, therefore, read many religious based sites for information and education. As an Agnostic, I am not so egotistical and vain as to think I have any answers but I still seek. Is this the place to debate the existence of God? Can I debate the content and accuracy of the Bible? Is this the place to discuss Evolution and Creationism?

The notes above said i must follow the rules but I am not sure what they are. Can they be spelled out?

Just asking.

I'm sorry for having missed

I'm sorry for having missed this post. (Thank you, LMD!) Between moving back to Millinocket and trying to understand how the new forum works, I have not been in here much.

You are VERY welcome to start or participate in any debate you want to participate in.

This forum was set up because in the Public Square, it seemed that every time a person of faith made a statement about anything, the thread was diverted by such debates, or by those who simply mocked or insulted those who posted for their faith.

[quote=”Watcher”]The notes above said i must follow the rules but I am not sure what they are. Can they be spelled out?

The rules truly are spelled out above.

[quote=”In the first post, I”]The guidelines of this section of the forum are few and simple:

In other words, if someone says that they believe God considers homosexuality an abomination, it would be appropriate to address that statement. It would not be appropriate to take that opportunity to debate the existence of God.

Not that that debate is not allowed in BItS. The debate is welcome, but in its own thread.

You are more than welcome here, Watcher.

As a side note, the new software allows anyone to post here. We are keeping it that way as long as those who do post here abide by the simple guidelines.
