The owners of a Palermo farm that has been in their family since 1898 will now be able to resist growing pressure to develop their land and keep it in agriculture. That's because the Saban family has donated their farm's development rights to the Maine Farmland Trust; in return, the Sabans will get substantial tax benefits from the deal.
