Mitchell pays Maine Manufacturing a visit

SANFORD — Maine Senate President Elizabeth "Libby" Mitchell paid a visit to...Maine Manufacturing LLC, in Sanford, and a couple of businesses in Portland.

With the assistance of town officials, the company received a $100,000 Community Development Block Grant (CDBG)...and created 12 new jobs.

Mitchell called Maine Manufacturing a good model for Maine business entrepreneurs.

...[A]s governor, [Mitchell] said, she can set up an economic develop plan to support business opportunities in Maine.

Great, her idea is to take from one company and give to another. Why am I not surprised. What would be better if she went to a company that had never had a grant or other govt help yet still managed to grow and be successful, that would be a good business model.

Libby's just trying to make up for that mislabeled law she's been trying to pass that forces all employers to pay mandatory sick time. This woman is the worst we could ask for in this economy.
She was recently invited to speak at the Mid Coast Chamber's yearly dinner. So many businesses objected, they had to pull the plug on her at the last moment.
In my opinion, the only Democrat candidate that "gets it" is John Richardson
