Oh yeah Tom? Ramona Du Houx might have something to say about that.

There would be no conversation beyond this was a very private personal ,matter,....(fill in blanks w/ trite euphemisms of choice which mean nothing)!

Is there any credible news as to who the Democrats will choose to run in Du Houx's stead?

Labourdonnaye?

Let us say the word: Labourdonnaye and Duhoux disliked each other; they did not want anything to do with each other, they did not want to meet. The "amour propre" of Duhoux was mortified to give up his command. Labourdonnaye did not care at all to have to continue certain of Duhoux's operations.

By the time Duhoux arrived, the attacks on him had already received a thorough airing in the press, and [accused him of] having made himself a demagogue to win the support of the people. "One must observe," pointed out the paper's editor, "that he is not the only aristocrat who has made himself a demagogue; so long as the enemies of the fatherland can cause harm, what does it matter to them under which guise?"

"What's politics without a good sex scandal?"
"We need to get to the bottom of this."

Who's bottom and where is this thread going?

Mumsy and Sis are still going to bat for du Houx. Some people just don't know when to be quiet. Getting people to write letters of support and then posting misleading comments isn't doing him any favors.

Hope you're right, Bruce. I always usedta hate getting things like socks and underwear for Christmas. Now that I'm a middle-aged guy, that's all I expect. I've even sunk so low I look forward to it.

12 months of this would be toy trains and candy canes.

I wonder if Mumsy is reading this and thinking.... "Oh, those HORRID, disgusting people over on that ridiculous conservative website!" If she is... well, at the risk of sacrificing my own amusement, let me offer this: Ramona, STFU. You're hurting your kid.

We need to get Ramona to go after Herbig. After all, she is the one who started all of this. How can she just run for re-election and keep her seat while Alexander was dragged through the mud? "Fairness" needs to be applied in this situation.

Exactly Apollo , but let her do it ,we here are only slightly above doing it ourselves just because she is a ethically morally challenged
and obviously lacking in taste, maybe it was the uniform, individual who desires it from Mumsy!
Besides for the moment Alex is still alot more fun !
After all this could we agree with Mumsy if she did? Pause....... Hell yes!

Maybe we could encourage Ramona to speak out about Herbig?

This story just can't seem to fade away...

Oh...so he 'just decided' not to run, so he could 'serve his constituents in other ways?'

No shame, no moral compass, no accountability.

Just like all the best liberals.

All these nice agreements mean nothing ,in forcible by who ? Ten years?

What happens if a rouge element of Canadian terrorist disguised as a Curling team infiltrate and attack Belfast ? Who will be available to protect the lady( term used loosely) from the hoard ?

Wow, makes it tough to keep up the argument that he did nothing wrong if those restrictions are true....wonder who leaked this?

Not for Mumsy !
I like the part about computer hard drives etc. etc. , now of course , one would just ask for them if the owner was "innocent"!!!!!!!

Tom C. YES, you must go.
In the good name of the people of Maine and for the public good; you must go.
I think mumsy would be so elated.
Can't you just go as a "reporter" for AMG ?

I am reminded of a classic Henry Kissenger quote, when he opined on the Iran - Iraq war:

"What a pity that they can't both lose."

I would add: Mumsy is curiously silent on the BDN response thread (which usually suggests the mental image of a firing squad arrayed in a circle).

Maybe she took my advice and, if that's so, fellow AMGers, I submit my apology. But five'll getcha ten she either has or ultimately will figure out that you can post under a pseudonym on these here Interwebs.

In which case we can enjoy a new game: "Whack-a-Ramona." What fun!

Herbig is seeking re-election to a second term in the Maine House.

Will we have a re-run or another chapter?

She had been going after Herbig, in a very legally calculated way. So were the other family members (posting anonymously). Now? Time will tell.

I can just imagine that someone in Herbig's camp had quite enough of the sanctimonious "he's a hero" plip from Mumsy, and decided the public deserved to see the truth about the settlement agreement.

Some people just don't know when the heck to be quiet and go away. Had it not been for the misrepresentations from du Houx, and the continued trumpetings from Mumsy, it's likely the agreement wouldn't have been released.

He can't enter Belfast without telling the police 48 hours in advance, he had to abandon his re-election bid, and he can't go near the state House - all for ten years (unless Herbig moves or is no longer serving in Augusta). He also paid $9K for Herbig's legal costs, and had to hand over all photos and hard drives connected with the complaint.

Let's ask again - what would that lawsuit case have exposed from du Houx' side of the courtroom?
