du Houx entered couselling because of a "breach of trust". Someone here mentioned possible pornography.

Some women consider their man looking at pornography to be a "breach of trust." I wonder if she noticed him looking at porn, freaked out, and got all upset. She "couldn't trust him" after that.

He went to couselling to repair the break, but perhaps she never forgave him, and maybe even just wanted out.

Me thinks the scenario is ,she came to see him as the "pornographer" ,after taking pictures of her as the "pornee" !!!

If one, for whatever reason, takes spicy pictures of one's paramour, one should take pains that NO ONE else ever sees them.

Now that would be a problem. Possessing pictures of underaged girls is illegal, and if those were turned over to the lawyer, then the lawyer would be in violation of the law, I'd think. Why would he want those, just to hold as blackmail? His mere knowingly possessing them would be a crime in itself.

Kiddie porn is rotten, but the law doesn't deal with it well. Among the addictions - sex addictions, promiscuity, perversion and porn can have a corrupting effect on one's life, emotional health and outlook. Those addictions can be hard enough to battle. But someone with a kiddie porn addiction has no where to turn or get help, even if he wants to. Those guys are really up the creek. I wish there was somewhere they could go and get help if they wanted to, without being thrown in jail.

Anyway, I'd be amazed if it was underaged girls. The lawyer would really be up the creek then.

We can go on and on about who did what and to whom for a long, long time. The fact is, none of it is anything but conjecture and it frankly doesn't matter.

Here's the bottom line: du Houx is a liar. While it seems the agreement prohibited him from using the terms of the agreement itself as an excuse for withdrawing from the race, it did not give him license to lie. Simply put, he tried to hide behind his service in the Navy as a reason for his choice - and that is an outright lie.

He had the opportunity to simply say, "I have chosen to withdraw from the race as a result of personal reasons that I choose not to discuss." That would have at least preserved some degree of honor. In stead, he chose the reprehensible tack of blaming it on his service. He should be thrown out of the Navy...or hung from the highest yardarm, if they still do such a thing.

That said, I am sure that the people of Brunswick will elect him in two years - which shows what I think of most Brunswickians.

This whole thing reminds me of some episode of Law and Order. Everyone is guilty, right down to the mother who did who-knows-what to make her son a weirdo like he is, and the victim who willingly participated in some really stupid stuff at the beginning. I keep hoping for the closing credits at the end of the episode.

I think it is kind of funny how Herbig's people leaked the agreement when they saw Alex telling bald faced lies. Make him look even worse. Hey, ListenASec, I HATE Law and Order. My wife watches it constantly, and there is nothing realistic about it. All of the investigators and lawyers and judges act so smart, and so cool, and talk in such intelligent sounding soundbites. People like that don't exist in the real world, especially in government.

That's why I said it reminded me of Law and Order. Such a stupid drama where they all are so full of themselves and so screwed up. Neither one of them, nor mumsy should be involved with our state house. NOT what I want to have over their. It's more about them. Mumsy is living through sonny-boy. She made him what he is today. Fill in the blank as to what that is.
