In all that is interesting and enjoyable no one seems to noted, that according to the PPH story yesterday the report was released to the Forecaster group of papers by his sister Rebecca,
a mental health case manager in the Maine National Guard !!!!
Maybe the PPH figured out that maybe there was something smelly about the report being released ?
Let's recap here:
We have a messy breakup between two people, both democrat legislators from different areas of the Maine coast. One a Bowdoin graduate ,not spoken about highly by at least one classmate, who was in Marines ,served in Irag and now hates the war , but is not suffering from any PTSD from war,as we haven't gotten to any new reports , if any ,about why he couldn't let go of his love interest, who is of questionable moral character at best w/ an unknown mental health history, since she does not have a sister working for a agency w/ access ,that we know about , to a report if any, for mummy to give to PPH ! This of course taking place in the Capital , refereed by the dynamic leadership of Ms. Cain, who has to wonder why blondes have more fun, and why the plan didn't work, given the obvious desire to have this all go away since it isn't going to be a hallmark of her leadership ,while asking what would Hanna have done in this case ?
Mean while others are saying it is nice the Senator has walls that do not talk !
Future questions:
Will detachment of Marines reserves appear at hearing for a follow Marine , remember once a Marine Always a Marine?
Will Me. Nat. Guard build a moat around court house prior to hearing ( marines do land on beaches)?
Will mummie be the first person out of the landing craft?
Will Angus appear as a character witness ?
Stay tuned more to follow!
"He currently works as a paid photographer on the Bowdoin campus and continues to create pictures that reflect life's beauty, turmoil, and humor."

Bruce, great recap. Thanks for a good laugh.
TJC - I'm not saying the report itself is bad for the Dems. I'm saying maybe the PPH figured out that A) the release of the report might not have been legal; and B) the continued notoriety from the entire case is bad for the Dems.
So, the link isn't deactivated (at least not yet), but the story is conveniently edged off the main news page.
Make sense?
tjc: do you go in regularly for a "you're not nuts" check-up?
No. However, I very well might, if pressured into it by a crumbling relationship with an unstable person who was poised to play the PTSD card if I didn't have a trump card to play.
Of course one doesn't get into such a circumstance unless overly attracted to the unstable person, which isn't a ringing endorsement. Still, it is better to be (correctly) thought to have poor judgment in romantic partners than to be thought crazy, and have a PFA order hanging over my head. .
Naran: I'd imagine that the person himself would have access to his own fitness report.
Agreed. However, the PPH story states that Alex Cornell du Houx "did not know" about his mother and sister releasing the report. Again - not saying whether that's accurate or not. Just sayin,'

I had ABSOLUTELY NO IDEA that my sister would release the favorable report into the midst of a morass in which my laywer has told ME to say nothing at all.
Guess I won't do anything about it either.
This item plays off the recent mentions of 'gender fluidity' and applies the same loosey-goosiness to legislator residency obligations:
Your welcome Bluejay!
This confidentiality crap, is just that. Crap. If we have unstable elected officials, the public has a right to know.
It's swell that du Houx and Herbig have been able to reach a deal. Now, how about they give Maine's taxpayers a deal, by resigning and staying home?
Any credibility or ability to legislate effectively on behalf of their constituents has been squandered through this unseemly behavior. Too bad we can't recoup the Clean Elections funding wasted on their campaigns.
-- and what if not unstable, but they merely have nosey or manipulative constituents of the opposite party? I'm comfortable giving legislators the same rights of privilege we have. After all, they NOW have almost NO rights to prevent or remedy defamation. You can call 'em crazy if you want, and then if they don't cough up the records, say that proves it.
Mel, that's a classic title and deserves a nomination to AMG's Instigator Hall of Fame.
Merci, for the kudos on de Houx snafu part deux, beaucoup
Any guesses as to whether retaining political power or personal ethics dominated consideration of the accord?
I know where I'm placing my chip.
Caution : Attention all drivers after June primary. If observing a smiling person on roadside wearing dusty desert camo. fatigues ,be kind, stop and offer ride, before departure read note(from mommy) attached
to his shirt, please leave him as close as possible to her desired destination, as long as it is as far as possible away from Maine Border !!
Attention : All lounge /bar/adult entertainment facilities owners.
Job applications for pole dancer positions can be emailed to Rep. Herbig at following address.
Wow, Bruce! You're really 'letting go!'
It's fun to watch someone break free of the bureaucracy after all these years!
Mel it has always been there but it is the venue that brings it out and this is just prime !!
Well, Bruce, if your recaps are any indication of the writer within, keep up the good work. =))))))
Once again thank you.
Any guesses as to whether retaining political power or personal ethics dominated consideration of the accord?
Herbig gets her way, and du Houx gets to claim that there were no findings.
The harpies are happy because none of Herbig's charges will be challenged - and we can't have that when "women don't lie about these things." Both du Houx, but particularly Herbig, benefit from stopping the disclosure of any additional information about their tawdry affair.
This pathetic little drama reminds reminds me why I could never run for public office. If someone dug up half of my dingy past, I couldn't run for dog catcher.
Heck, if that ever happened, I'd probably be running FROM the dog catcher!
He wrote his thesis on the relationship between political engagement and community service and graduated with honors in government and legal studies with a minor in theater.
There you go. He likes drama.
With that kind of resume, where else COULD he have gone but the Maine legislature?
God help us!
The liberal "smoothing over" of this story does not tell us the truth. A confidential agreement is not relevant to the procedure, and certainly does not offer any legal "protection" it's just an attempt to turn the spout of liberal embarrassments off. Too late! What probably really happened, a motion to "dissolve" was about to be heard, which Herbig chose to circumvent by motioning to withdraw the temporary order, realizing that it would be dismissed anyway. This is what I predicted last week would happen, and that we would be lied to about it.
In her statement, Herbig clings to her victim status as part of a larger gender-biased group of victim feminists, and insinuates that attempts by Du Houx (and men in general) to exonerate themselves from subjectively contrived accusations are actually "intimidation, defamation, and public humiliation as a means of control." If Herbig were to acknowledge that describes what SHE was doing, that would be believable. Perhaps her constituents will believe someone else in the primaries, and voters will elect some young Republicans who have the State's business on their minds instead of monkey business

I think you have part of the story right - this stops the embarrassing revelations.
But I don't see duHoux agreeing to sitting out the rest of the term (even though it is a short time) if he could have had the thing easily dismissed.
Who knows Tom,Maybe Stan the man democrat , got to mummy and persuaded her to settle this in this manner ,after all he (Alex) is immaterial in this whole matter ,except for possession of cellphone camera memory !!!!!
Additional caution: If offering a ride to person sitting on roadside on outer Pleasant street in Brunswick , you have young children or elderly persons in car , and he appears to be looking at phone,DO NOT pick him up!!!!!
Poor misunderstood Alex Cornell du Houx has his mummy write a letter to Pravda on the Penobscot as well;
http://bangordailynews.com/2012/05/25/opinion/saturday-may-26-2012-favor...
Shouldn't she and her son thought about that when he was talking about his opposition to the war before he sarted a war w/ the girlfriend??
AAAAAAaaaaannnnnd.... we're back.
Mumsy has the first entry in the comment stack. My, but she does love her little boy!

tjc: do you go in regularly for a "you're not nuts" check-up?
Do you suppose the health coverage paid for by the state covered this? Do you wonder who selected the therapist?
I've always loved that word; add a space inadvertently, and it becomes something horribly different.
