What's A Chamber For Anyway?

How on the planet can a Chamber of Commerce
oppose a measure that would limit Maine's exponential
increases in government spending???

Haven't the Chamber folks noticed that there are
fewer members attending the meetings of late???

Could it be that with the #1 TAXES IN AMERICA,
caused by uncontrolled increases in government
spending... those Former Chamber Members have
closed up shop?????

Just wondering.

What crap....the bill will cause erosion of nothing. Only the PEOPLE can do that, since the spending decisions are in the hands of the legislative body and the voters.

The bill is an inanimate object that describes the process for determining how much is spent. And those decisions will be VERY LOCAL. In fact, more local voices will be involved in the decisions than EVER BEFORE.

Are these people really that thick? Do they stand in their yards and talk to their dirt in order to learn things?

It seems that local chambers are sometimes more heavily weighted with large businesses and institutions.
