...first poll....Second Congressional District Democratic primary, Bangor City Councilor Joe Baldacci, state Sen. Emily Cain and Attorney General Janet Mills .... the lead pack. ....poll ... administered by Public Policy Polling (PPP).... conducted....June 26-27....633 “usual Democratic primary voters” with....margin of error of 3.9 percent. ....
Joe Baldacci: 19 percent
Emily Cain: 18 percent
Janet Mills: 15 percent
Troy Jackson: 9 percent
Matt Dunlap: 8 percent
Jeff McCabe: 3 percent
Not sure: 28 percent
Oh, but, wait -- Democrats can't possibly support Janet Mills and Emily Cain running for office - they're both already employed by the state government! How could they possibly do justice to their elected/appointed state positions, and campaign for higher office at the same time? Isn't that a conflict of interest?
After all, that's what the Dems said when Charlie Summers ran for the US Senate last year.
Surely, the same standards will apply to the Democrats in the same situation for 2014 - right?
