Maine tea party organizers say movement is building
By Christopher Cousins
BDN Staff - 2/6/10

Arden Manning, coordinated campaign director for the Maine Democratic Party, rejected the notion that many Democrats in Maine are supportive of the tea party movement.

“I wouldn’t agree that it involves any Democrats, or many of them,” said Manning. “The general principal [tea party activists] are espousing is from the far right wing of the Republican Party.”

Manning said in Maine, the actual number of tea party activists represents a fraction of the population.

Mr. Dodge:

Perusing this POLL of 2,000 self-identified Republicans, I think you'll find that the GOP is well to the right of center.

Your humble servant, etc.

"The general principal [elected Democrats] are espousing is from the far [left] wing of the [Democrat] Party.”

.....looks like he may be right with a few simple adjustments.

42 percent of Republicans aren't really patriotic. They pretend to love America only when they approve of the president. These traitors don't believe in democracy, in our nation's founding ideals, or in our flag. To them, those colors run. They are cowards.

Note, secession sentiment is MUCH stronger in the South than elsewhere -- 33 percent want out, compared to just 52 percent who want to stay. In the Northeast, "just" 10 percent want out, in the Midwest, its 18 percent, and in the West, it's 16 percent. Can we cram them all into the Texas Panhandle, create the state of Dumbfu##istan, and build a wall around them to keep them from coming into America illegally?

Daily Kooks is usually good for some insight into the hateful left, but this tops most of what I've read. A country built on secession from tyranny is now inhabited by people who are "unpatriotic" for considering the idea of secession from tyranny and a group who thinks these unpatriotic scum should live in a place called dumbfu##istan. I guess THIS is what Gerald considers to be the mainstream of American politics.

Pretty soon, I see Fox News touting itself as the OFFICIAL Tea Party channel.

Oh, and BUY MORE GOLD! :D

It must be fairly discouraging for folks like Domino to accept that FOX has the largest viewer audience of any cable network , maybe Chris,Ed and Keith could form some sort of traveling comedy act and get some better ratings

That sounds unpatriotic, shouldn't we either be "giving back" or "getting a hand up" in America.

The comments by both loyalists of the two-headed monster are quite telling depending which of the brands are in power.

Now that their man is in power, the democrats know no end to their patriotism. Safe in the knowledge that their brand will do the right thing, Obama can bomb, sanction, murder with complete acceptance by their crowd. Or they can blame it on Bush.

Now that their brand is in power, their leaders can bail out wall street, bankers, despots with full knowledge that their man is doing the right thing and even if that is too much for their conscience, than what he HAS to DO.

What a damn farce, all Americans who understand the farce, wish the tea party well.

GERALD WEINAND's mentality is vividly exposed by his link. He cites a poll commissioned by the (heh) centrist Daily Kos to show Republicans (me, et al.) are extremist.

One of the findings that presumably scandalizes him is that a large percentage of Republicans view Obama as a socialist. The Gallup Poll finds that 53% of Democrats and 61% of liberals have a "positive image of socialism." How does this work?. Republicans are extreme because a large minority of them think Obama is a socialist, while Democrats are centrist because 53% have a favorable view of socialism? And liberals are, what?---even more moderate because 61% have a positive image of socialism.

Another think that must bother him is the belief that Obama should be impeached. Some of us remember when this was high on the agenda of Democratic activists. Now the Democrats have had access to all the documents and control all the investigative apparatus of the national government, yet there no charges of high crimes and misdemeanors have been brought.

johnw, I don't find it discouraging that so many people are taken in by Fox. It just is. Capitalism at it's best. They will do and say anything to get and keep ratings, and people will believe it. Some have to be holier than thou to feel complete. Fox helps people fill that need. Other entertainers find this a great source for material. So, really, Fox is great for the tv business. :D

We used to hate people, now we just make fun of them. It is more effective that way.

Name me one Democrat in the state of Maine who is not left-wing liberal.

Press the "Fox" button, up pops Domino, reciting from his tattered, yellowing scrip.

I just glanced at a medical study showing that boredom shortens a person's life. I'm sensing an evil scheme. What I took to be robotic silliness begins to look like satanic malice.

domino, taken in by Fox ? I'd say what Fox broadcasts rings true with more Americans than you'd like to believe. But as far as being taken in look at your anointed one..... he can't he even keep his promises to his followers....here let me list his successful, initiatives and accomplishments and kept promises

okay all done

PS: When O'Riley tell us that he gets a tingle up his leg watching the one I'll turn Fox off
