Maine Democrats fail test on ethics reform
Getting lawmakers to change the rules that govern them requires
strong leadership.

That's why it is more than fair to characterize the Legislature's failure to enact ethics reform as a failure of the Democratic leadership. House Speaker Glenn Cummings and Senate President Beth Edmonds should have insisted this get done.

Instead, a worthy ethics reform bill got tabled.
