Trail system expands its reach

Economic development isn't only about job training and tax credits. It's also about having a way of life that ensures that what makes Maine a great place to live and work is enhanced by projects such as the Kennebec Messalonskee Trails.

The way the DOT is going, the trail could become the best way to get from Belgrade to Augusta. Will they allow ATV's? Dirt bikes? Snowmobiles?

Roger, who would want to ride those between Belgrade and Augusta anyway?

Bravo! Another wonderful public investment.

Yes, "livability" does matter to prospective businesses.

Trails should be local investment, not paid for with transprotation bond money for example. Let those who use them pay for them and their upkeep.

Maine has a long standing tradition of Volunteer Fire and Rescue
Departments.

It's about time the Trail and Path elite start volunteering their
time and money to purchase, construct and maintain the
playgrounds they FEEL will solve all the economic and
health problems in Maine.
