It was interesting reading the comments attached to the article. A large number of commentors somehow in their wormy little minds managed to blame LePage for the loss of the jobs. I'm wondering if they blame him for the job that were lost at Geiger as well? Those kind of comments really accentuate just how many truly home grown low information voters are out there.
The simple facts of the matter are that Maine is not a great place to do business. A few decades ago Maine was home to many "minimum wage empires" but those jobs have long fled to cheaper labor, lower energy costs and easier access to larger markets. The newer industries that are less labor intensive and understand how to manage a bottom line, leave before they are sucked dry.
Kudos to any Maine entrepreneur who thinks up a great idea, gets it rolling ,sells out to someone, makes a boatload of money and moves on....before the lowlifes in Augusta redistribute or regulate them into insolvency
