This winter the Maine Chapter of the Nature Conservancy will transfer ownership of 235 acres of land in three parcels abutting the 5,500-acre park to the state Bureau of Parks and Lands.
All were acquired earlier this year by the conservancy, which used $1,028,000 in funds from the Land for Maine's Future Program to help finance the purchases.
