It seems our Revenue Service is going after people who fail to pay sales tax on items they purchase from other states. I would remind the Revenue Service that the United States Constitution in Article 1 Section 9 that "no tax or duty shall be laid on articles exported from any state". This provision was included to prevent states from protecting their industries by imposing taxes on similar goods made in other states and available to its residents at a lower cost. Any attempt by the state to collect such a taxes or impose penalties for failure to pay them is unconstitutional and therefore unlawful.
