Brakey's big break.
The article notes that a "Mike Hein" posted the video after slowing portions. I had not heard of him, but a quick Google reveals that he served 7 days in jail after pleading guilty to falsifying election contribution forms. What an asset to the GOP.
Please note ---> Hein is a banned, former member of AMG, and the Management would prefer we give him as little attention as possible. Thanks.
It's unfortunate that Brakey is experiencing this kind of negative, vulturous publicity from the liberal mainstream news publications.
Funny, how they can't be bothered to editorialize about the most recent unconstitutional DEA actions against American citizens, but one guy practicing in a bathing suit for a commercial acting job is "big news."
Thanks for not very much, BDN and PPH. Your "leadership" on vital national issues affecting all American citizens is duly noted.
#54 I said "no good is going to come of this" !
PPH seems to validate that !
Given the political season upon us ,maybe it is time to put some editorial review on videos that one wants to post
about of candidates. Political fund raising has a request consent thing !
As I indicated earlier this stuff does no good when any candidate can do things by themselves for our entertainment !
Oh good , WGAN radio news is running the story also sans AMG mention.
I just heard the GAN coverage and thought it was actually very favorable to Eric. They mentioned the "Person Who Shall Not Be Named" but failed to mention his past history of criminally manipulating elections.
"Person Who Shall Not Be Named"
Ron Paul criminally manipulated elections?
Neither Ron Paul nor Voldemort... see #63 above, Mike.
THREE PPP: You should at least acknowledge that an orange jump suit is way more modest than Brazilian speedos.
Republicans wear board shorts for cripes sake.
Both the BDN and the PPH cited quotes from AMG today. Tell us again that we're not a "real" news publication.
Thanks for not very much, BDN and PPH.
I think the PPH did a great job with the story. You need to remember Naran, the slam started here on AMG and the PPH cleaned it up. Great publicity for Brakey.
Now, now... Naran wasn't responsible for the angle of the story as originally posted here.
But your impression that the PPH coverage was actually good publicity for Brakey matches my own regarding the radio story I heard earlier. Given that Brakey's major challenge is probably name recognition (well that and the impression that Republicans consist primarily of nursing home residents) this attempt to ridicule may indeed backfire.
"You need to remember Naran, the slam started here on AMG and the PPH cleaned it up. Great publicity for Brakey."
This was a story weeks before it was posted here.
This thread is a waste of time other then to provide comic entertainment. Lets face it, most professional politicians are actors anyway. So long as Eric Brakey is not doing a stump speech in his tight shorts, who cares about some old work he did.
The fuddy duddies should be happy he didn’t have outrageous tattoos and nipple piercings, but given today’s climate, even nipple rings and outrageous tattoos could be found in some conservative circles.
I personally think Bohemian Grove is far more creepy then the unknown Eric Brakey.
I repeat no good is going to come from this be it from ill intent or not !
As bad as they are PPH/BDN, whoever and however this was handed to them ,this gem of nothingness, is doing no good!
If I was selling newspapers would I have passed on it? Hell no!
Yes Stephen there is a element of comic relief in it !
Amazing that all the major news outlet each had a story on the same day regarding this
Just last week I was driving up 95 with my wife and saw a Red sedan pass me. It was being driven by a women with hair colored red, her hair was just a bright red as her car, and her rear bumper had a Ron Paul political sticker. I said to my wife; Can you believe that, A red haired women, smoking her cigarette, with a conservative political sticker on her car?
She responded, “Why not?” “You are being judgmental to suggest she couldn’t be a conservative with red hair.”
She was right.
I don't know anything about the candidate. Didn't know anything about him until I saw the video on FB. I am in the 20-something age group and think it is funny. People need to lighten up. In this world of always-available cameras, if this is the only thing that a candidate has to worry about, it's nothing. After having taught for 7 years and seeing how kids are using their phones and computers, we will be lucky if any candidate in 10-20 years doesn't have some videos come back and bite them in the butt (and not the drama club school play videos).
If a Hollywood actor decided to run for a seat and had been in a non-graphic implied sex scene in a movie, would he be disqualified?
And I do know of VitaCoco water and drink it myself. For those of you who don't know, coconut water has more electrolytes than Gatorade and is much better for you. A coconut is sterile unless it has been damaged. As a result, coconut water has been used as an IV fluid when saline was not available. I bet those people were grateful for their coconut water, and would get up and dance if they were able.
See ,I said no good would come from this !
Actually an occaisonal 12 year old scotch helps tame the urges to rip a cellphone camera from a 20 something age and smash it ! lol
All the world's a stage,
And all the men and women merely players:
They have their exits and their entrances;
And one man in his time plays many parts,
His acts being seven ages. At first the infant,
Mewling and puking in the nurse's arms.
And then the whining school-boy, with his satchel
And shining morning face, creeping like snail
Unwillingly to school. And then the lover,
Sighing like furnace, with a woeful ballad...............................
Shakespeare from "How You Like It
Three pipes I liked the video of Clinton responding to a question about Bohemia Grove. A snap shot of Americana.
You have boobus in the background cheering their man's Clinton retort as Clinton's security team escorts some trouble maker from the proceedings. Classic
At times Shakespeare makes me feel the same way !
Thanks for that Ugen..Bill Shakespeare had a wicked wit. The part of Hamlet I liked best was the job he did on that old hypocrite Polonius.
When I got up this morning and saw Brakey on the front page of the Press Herald, the first thing I thought of was "these people can't find anything else to put on the front page?". If anyone needed proof that the PPH is an arm of the Pingree / Sussman / Democrat Party, this is it. I'm expecting Nemitz will have a column soon too.
Apollo read #76 above.
We do not have a Weiner here in Maine as a candidate for anyting ,yet.
No paper would have passed on this regardless of who owned the rag !!
Guess what one of the top news stories is on Yahoo?
Or online news thingy !
At least they didn't call it a "Speedo"!
It looks to me like brilliant strategy to put what might be construed as a setback behind him.
Keep up the good work Eric.
These old foaggies need some shakin up.
With all the video editing, photo editing, etc. I am thinking this is Fred's problem
