Michael Jackson Rushed to Los Angeles Hospital for Cardiac Arrest

Thursday, June 25, 2009

Michael Jackson has been rushed to a Los Angeles hospital, police confirmed to FOX News Thursday.

The legendary singer, 50, reportedly went into cardiac arrest and had to receive CPR in the ambulance, according to a report from TMZ.

Sorry, but better SOME kind of arrest than none.

Sorry, but all this means to me is less chance of more children being sexually abused in the future. Hope he figures things out in Eternity, and achieves Enlightenment.

Naran, those were my thoughts exactly. Despite his great talent, he was a tortured, lost soul. Now one has to wonder what kind of life lies ahead for his children.

As someone certified in CPR, I was thinking "If I wanted to administer CPR to him, would I dare to pinch his nose?" Now I need to find a TV show that isn't covering this.

Leaving aside the kids and the wasted talent, the real tragedy is that his death will divert attention today away from Congress as they begin for real the dismantling of our country. Killah!

Very talented....The recent abuse reports were troubling. Settling with so many families...After that came to light, I discontinued my support.

Death of a Pop Music Icon
Michael Jackson's Life of Fame and Scandal Ends at 50 on Eve of Comeback Concerts
By ETHAN SMITH

Jackson's agreement with AEG Live, owned by Denver billionaire Phil Anschutz, included an option to extend the concert series...into a world-wide tour over three years or more. All told the tour could have earned him $400 million.

In preparation for the London performances, Jackson had undergone a five-hour physical examination. AEG Live Chief Executive Randy Phillips said in March that Mr. Jackson had "passed with flying colors."

I have to say I never expected to see the day when people would spend so much effort honoring a pedophiles achievements.

Never was a fan both because of his personal life and I was still stuck in the era of 50's and 60's rock and roll.

Hovever, by some dumb luck I had a chance to see him perform live in the 1993 Super Bowl in Pasadena and he did put on quite a performance that day.

Rumor has it the cardiac arrest may have been preceded by a large dose of Demerol.

Question: was he ever found guilty of the alledged abuse?

I believe he settled all the cases before they went to trial. I could be wrong.

According to a timeline printed in the Press Herald this morning, the first case was settled out of court for a rumored $15 million.

He was tried and found not guilty in a second case.

And I have to say that I, unfortunately, am not surprised to see so many people so willing to negate people as human beings based on their moral failings, no matter how severe.

Yes, he was a failed human being. He is not alone in that. And the lack of mercy in this world is, while not unexpected, sad.

I am not talking about debating someone or pointing out when she is wrong.

I am talking about the fact that even after charlotte is dead, I would hope that people would not remember her for her stance on what the majority of people in this country believe is wrong. I would hope that she would be remembered for her humanity, her successes as a human being, a mother, and as a friend.

As long as someone is alive, there is a chance that they will see the light. Once dead, however, what is the point of debating their failings? What will it change?

Rest assured that if I happen to be alive and on AMG when charlotte dies, I will post the same sort of thing for her as I did above.

Thank You Michelle for you're post it is so relevant in so many areas.

As for he media here is really something to say for elimination of 24 hour news cycles.
By now the only significant fact to report is ; he is still dead!

Our obsession with entertainment / pop culture/etc. personalities is on full display everywhere today.
It is kind of sad that we seem to be sop bereft of role models /hero's/ whatever what one wants label them today.

A sad end to a 50 year old child who was denied being one and never recovered from that.
