Obama has directed his Attorney General to ignore the law known as the Defense of Marriage Act. Is Mike Michaud willing to take President Obama to task on that? Or is he only willing to call for upholding laws concerning army shoes?

Reps. Duncan Hunter, R-Calif., and Michael H. Michaud, D-Maine, are asking fellow lawmakers to sign a letter that asks the Defense Department to comply with the “letter and the spirit of the Berry Amendment,” which requires the food, clothing, fabrics and other textiles the Pentagon buys to be grown or made in the U.S.

We may have to start calling Michaud "Shoeless Mike." Or, "clueless."

This is one of the best things Michaud has done for almost 8000 Maine people who are at risk of losing their jobs because the government is ignoring the law and allowing them to buy shoes from China through a voucher system.

I am not sure why we would post what is in effect a campaign ad for him here considering Raye is an advertiser.

Stavros Mendros,

The best thing Rep. Michaud has done is write a letter? I'll give him points for the idea, but until the Obama policy changes I'm going to hold my applause.
