Those pesky Republicans. Can't keep their hands to themselves. I'll guess that they'll blame it on him hanging out with Bill Clinton. I'm truly disappointed in this. Thought he was an upstanding guy, even though I disagreed with his politics. What a creep.

I'm truly disappointed as well.
Having met the guy beginning in 88 when he visited our plant on a campaign stop, where I was part of the escort party, and several times in succeeding years at various events related to ship commissionings, etc, where I got to see his and his wife's personal sides in small reception settings, I am convinced of the essential humanity and goodness of both of them.
I'm not going to read about the claims, but my default position is to attribute it/them to a touch of the big A, being in the wheel chair, and an old man's attempt to appear 'vital and foxy' in a very wrong way. If they are 'true,' that is. "Creep" will not be part of the vocabulary I use in this instance.
If he has crossed the line, shame on him, and he should be taken off ice cream for dessert for two weeks. If the reports are from opportunists who sense the time is right and the "perp" is a sitting duck, double shame on them. I can imagine lots of incentives in the latter case.....
It's an old age thing.
(Very old)
Ask anyone working in a rest home about what goes on.
Melvin and Ugenetoo, I agree with both your comments.
For these reasons it could be overlooked and attributed to age etc. but one quite credible account took place in 2006, pre-wheelchair days.
This truly tarnishes his image in my mind. Very disappointing.
The magic hand...
Eleven years? Why the wait?
I don't plan to research the subject, but I'm still giving him the benefit of the doubt for now.
Somebody giggled, somebody blushed and everyone thought it was cute.
This is on Barbara. She should have cold cocked him after the first cheek but she embraced a path of the oppressor/enabler. Take her name off the children's wing. No child can possibly survive bearing the weight of her indignities. .
Wow....you had quite the eye-witness purview.
I for one, think we should all take a deep breath.
While what he or any of the other Cop a Feelers have done is not acceptable, context still matters.
It's fantastic that we are moving forward, out of the world where harassed women are too afraid to speak up, but it's also ridiculous to try and hold everybody that existed prior to this point to the standards that we hold today.
That being said, there's what Bush 41 did and what Weinstein and Cosby did, and let's not confuse or conflate the two.
