As usual, I saw this and thought 'I didn't hear about this . . ' so, I searched the news and discovered that it's not being reported.
"In front of an audience of about 2,000 young people, including many Catholics, Obama claimed that Catholic education divides people and blocks peace, according to the Scottish Catholic Observer."
“If towns remain divided—if Catholics have their schools and buildings and Protestants have theirs, if we can’t see ourselves in one another and fear or resentment are allowed to harden—that too encourages division and discourages cooperation,” Obama said.
Fr. John Zuhlsdorf quoted the Observer’s article on Fr. Z’s blog and added:
Off the top of my head, I can’t think of a foreign visit to a Islamic nation where he told people on his arrival that they shouldn’t have madrasas. Can you?
No. But if he had . . (insert consequences here)
This isn't about which religions he likes and dislikes. Never mind his oath and never mind his credentials, the dolt in residence doesn't have a thread of constitutional DNA in his body.

But the attack on First Amendment freedoms does not end with intimidation to suppress speech or control the press. Instead of advancing a culture of diversity and pluralism, as it would like to claim it is doing, the government has engaged bullying tactics to disintegrate the First Amendment’s freedom of religion.
America’s Founding Fathers did not risk their lives, their fortunes, or their sacred honor for the small portion of freedom a given government might allow us to posses. Rather, they risked their all for a freedom that God bestowed upon us when He created us and “endowed us with certain inalienable rights.”
