Obama: No God Condones Killing of Innocent Human Beings

At the prayer breakfast yesterday, Mr. Obama said, "We know there is no God who condones the killing of an innocent human being."
I wonder then how he can possibly justify the killing of an unborn human being based on that human being's location, which is inside its mother's womb.
Actually, Paul, it was started as the result of a discussion between the editor and me regarding the fact that discussions about abortion, homosexual marriage, and Christianity seemed to always be diverted by some members.
So it is a combination of both.
Christianity and politics often intersect, and one's world view will dictate what one thinks about such issues. I have found, though, that when that happens, I usually need to talk to other believers to keep my head from exploding. :)
Yeah! Understood - It's a shame and sad, but understood.
His statement is interesting in light of the fact that he also said he wouldn't want to punish a daughter by carrying a baby to term.

But no matter what we choose to believe, let us remember that there is no religion whose central tenet is hate. There's no god who condones taking the life of an innocent human being. This much we know.
~My first thought was perhaps Pres. Obama does not believe the unborn are fully human insofar as that ethereal concept of 'personhood' is concerned (remembering that pro-abortionists insist on commanding the magic wand which, when waved at ones pleasure, determines its commencement.)
My second thought was, "clever, very clever use of a phrase with which to itch the ears of some hopeful that Pres. Obama may be having a change of heart regarding abortion".

Dunno Michelle - "Bringing in the Sheaves" seems to be getting politcal. Though these topics are pertinent and serious, I thought that this forum would leave the political stuff for the public square - just my opinion.
