Controversial Artist Depicts Obama Trampling The Constitution
......"In front of the White House a man is sitting on a park bench in the throes of depression. He is surrounded by all 43 presidents. In the forefront, purposefully ignoring the depressed man is President Obama, whose right foot is stepping on the Constitution. James Madison is next to Obama, pleading with him to stop".......
....."This tableau is called “The Forgotten Man”, a painting by Jon McNaughton, an artist who is known for his politically-charged work"....
This is one of those works of art that need no words to tell the story. The painting tells it all.....very well in fact.

Obama stepping all over the Constitution
How is Obama any different from the rest of the Washington politicians? The only one that I can think of that respescts and follows the Constitution, is Ron Paul, and we fault him for doing so.
When I first saw it, night before last, I thought there were lots more DC characters (Congress at the least) who deserved to be in the painting, but then the artist's creation would be more like that famous "mural" that used to hang in Augusta.
The artist was trying to create a painting which a number of folks would want to buy "prints" of, and that has to be kept to a modest size for that purpose.
I doubt that the artist was blaming Obama for all of it, he was trying to make an importrant point, so nevertheless the message in the painting is very compelling!

WC, my point is that we are so focused on blaming everything on Obama that we are giving the other scumbags a free pass. I kind of like the makeup in Washington right now. Gridlock is not a bad thing. It really wouldn't bother me if Obama got another term if we could get rid of some dinosaur D's and R's and replaced them with Kelley Ayotte, Rand Paul types.
That wouldn't cause a stir if mounted on the Dept of Labor's wall...would it?
Bob S,
I agree with your point. There are enough scoundrels in DC and around the country to make James Madison get to his knees in despair.
I thought Obama was very beatable but the Republican party is struggling for it's modern identity and the candidates have self-immolated so to speak so, at this point, I agree that "gridlock" for the next 4 yrs is the best I can hope for.

Finally someone with "true grit" is challenging Urkle the POTSUCS (President of the Socialist United Communist States) in his quest to eviscerate the Constitution...the Catholic Church has stepped up. The church, unlike our worthless US Congress, the flabby spine'd KOMEN group and Maine's gutless DHHS committee, know what is right and will take it to the streets if necessary. We can only hope they mean it.
Watcher, Catholics voted 54-44% for Obama. I wonder how they feel about that now?? What could possibly go wrong with voting for a far left, anti-tradition Alinskyite??
We do indeed get the government we deserve.
Jim Cyr, I am sure the Catholics, just like the rest of America, voted on Urkle's politcal experience, background and history along with his long record of national and international leadership not to mention his strong stand for American ideals and exceptionalism all while going for the most rounds of golf record. Oh, and don't forget Michelle. What an uplifting asset she has been to the office.
I think and hope the Catholics see the error of their ways and have serious voter's remorse but, I would not count on it.
I think there is no better time to take a serious and educated look at the US Declaration of Independence and US Constitution which are both being assaulted by the Liberal/Socialist Left Democrats with substantial aid from the so-called Moderate Right Republicans. You can't argue for or uphold the Constitution if you don't understand it.
Aw, who can blame him? (irony alert)
He told Matt Lauer:
“it turns out our Founders designed a system that makes it more difficult to bring about change than I would like sometimes.”

Agreed , a few other folks should be standing with him for voting and signing the so called Patriot Act.
