Gerry Shields writes in the New York Post:

No cash for you!

Despite having to win 25 seats to take back the House and defend 23 Senate slots, Democratic candidates will not be receiving money from their usual sugar bears: President Obama and the Democratic National Committee.

Obama is expected to pile up $800 million for his own re-election bid, shutting out House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi and Senate Majority leader Harry Reid.

If I'm not mistaken this wont hurt dingy Harry because his re-election was in 2010.

Al: The reference to Reid in the story wasn't to his own reelection campaign but generically to the Democratic Senate Campaign Committee.

Obama has already made it clear that he has no use for Congress if they will not do as he tells them to do and so there is no reason for him to worry his head about who has the majority. This is probably pay back for not passing his jobs bill.

I'd amend Mackenzie's statement just a tad to say, "Obama has no use for Congress."

He has shown that he has found it easy enough to simply bypass Congress.

He has shown that the courts won't do anything to stop him, as evidenced by their actions in the federal lawsuit regarding Libya.

He has shown that he can get away with simply ignoring laws, as evidenced by his actions regarding DOMA.

He has shown that he can make recess appointments when there is no recess.

He has shown that he can bypass Congress with waivers and executive orders.

And it appears with not much more than another executive order or two, he can drone anyone who disagrees.

Yes he can.

Exactly!

But I wonder how news of his keeping all the dough for his own campaign and not sharing it with the rest of his party sits with taking only his "fair share"?

Seems that in the past, his pals figured it out.
