ObamaCare: Forced Home Inspections

"Constitutional attorney and author Kent Masterson Brown states, 'This is not a `voluntary` program. The eligible entity receiving the grant for performing the home visits is to identify the individuals to be visited and intervene so as to meet the improvement benchmarks. A homeschooling family, for instance, may be subject to `intervention` in `school readiness` and `social-emotional developmental indicators.` A farm family may be subject to `intervention` in order to `prevent child injuries.` The sky is the limit.'"

From the document itself PDF Link:

For the purposes of the MIECHV, home visiting models have been defined as programs or initiatives in which
home visiting is a primary service delivery strategy and in which services are offered on a voluntary basis to
pregnant women, expectant fathers, and parents and caregivers of children birth to kindergarten entry, targeting
participant outcomes which may include improved maternal and child health; prevention of child injuries, child
abuse, or maltreatment, and reduction of emergency department visits; improvement in school readiness and
achievement; reduction in crime or domestic violence; improvements in family economic self-sufficiency;
improvements in the coordination and referrals for other community resources and supports; or improvements in
parenting skills related to child development.

Please note the use of the word voluntary. MIECHV is Maternal Infant Early Childhood Home Visitation program, i.e. the very programs this grant aims to support.

When it comes to interpreting government edicts, never trust lawyers who make a living finding ways to sue the government.

As much as I despise

As much as I despise Obamacare - and that's a lot - I tend to want to check out claims that I haven't heard before. I think it's partly from that sage adage to "know thy enemy" and partly from the desire for my opposition to be from an educated perspective.

Here's a PDF link to the full text of the law.

And here's a PDF link to a summary.

Great it is all voluntary

Great it is all voluntary just like Obamacare and the income tax code, I'm so happy, it is government lending a helping hand.

your wallet is getting quite heavy with FED dollars Mr G can I hold that for you sir. lol

The CPI is at only 2.5% don't worry your retirement will keep up with inflation.

There is no need to worry about security, Mr Holder has every Americans interest in mind as he sorts out those who are potential troublemakers. He knows the law and if there is one thing he knows it is that the law does not apply to him or the Executive Branch.

It'''s good that the

It'''s good that the government seeks to help poor people to attain better lives for themselves.
They've done such a bang up job ever since the war on poverty was declared back in the sixties.

" I'm from the government and I'm here to help ."

Ben Swann was criticized for this story, which received a "Pants on Fire" rating from Politifact.

So he brought the Constitutional lawyer whom he quoted back to defend the story.
