June 30 (Reuters) - Johnson Outdoors Inc said it would close its plant in Ferndale, Washington and cut about 90 positions, as part of its strategy to improve profitability of its Watercraft business.
Johnson Outdoors said it would consolidate operations for its paddle sport brands in Old Town, Maine by the end of September, and expects annual cost savings of more than $4 million from fiscal 2010.

OLD TOWN, Maine -- Maine is in line to gain 48 jobs by the end of September when the parent company of Old Town Canoe consolidates operations for its paddle sports brands in Old Town.
In Augusta, Gov. John Baldacci said the state and the city of Old Town teamed up to offer a package of incentives to help meet the company's needs.
