Otten for Governor Launches Statewide Advertising Campaign
Otten Highlights Real World Experience and Pledges to be “Job Creator in Chief”
First Gubernatorial Campaign to Go on TV
Wednesday, December 2 , marks the first day of statewide tv advertising for one of the 21 declared candidates running for Governor. Les Otten, a Republican who announced his candidacy in October, began running a 30 second television ad highlighting his JOBS FOR MAINE campaign, stating that “it is critical for campaigns to get their message out early and define their candidacies. Caucuses begin in just two months.”
“We are committed to running a very aggressive campaign and this strong, statewide TV advertising is the first step in this process,” said campaign manager, Edie Smith.
The script of the ad reads:
“I’ve spent the last thirty-seven years creating good jobs and solving problems.
I started with just four employees and grew a company to over twelve-hundred.
I know how to build jobs in Maine.
Maine’s next Governor has to be about creating jobs and more jobs.
We must save the jobs that are here today. We must attract companies to expand here.
As Governor, I’ll be the Job Creator in Chief.
In a Les Otten administration, the first thing that people will think about will be jobs.”
