FARMINGDALE -- Ron Mason has closed the fuel pumps in front of his gasoline station at 260 Maine Ave.

Owner of Airport Automotive in Farmingdale, Mason said the station is still a full-service auto repair shop.

But he said he's fed up with fluctuating gasoline prices and credit card bank fees that have been eating up his profits.

It's the little guys that are being driven out of the business. The giant companies can better absorb the credit card fees.
