Portland School Committee Again Violates The Law

The Portland School Committee again went into executive session tonight with out complying with the state law in describing the precise nature that they were going into executive session.
They merely noted that they would be discussing a personel issue. The chair claimed that legal counsel had approved of the language of the motion. I told the committee that I thought they were getting bad advice from our legal counsel. Of course not one member of the committee objected and they blindly voted to go into executive session (presumably) with out knowing why.
There was no press at the meeting to record the exchange.
