Has anyone noticed that the PPH seems to be on an anti-gun tear since the election. We have had Nemitz editorialize,
yesterday had a story about the rise in 'gun crimes'
At least they mention the cause, the Maine drug problem.
Today we get a piece by Nancy Grape on Colombine, a really old story.
Easy answers blame guns. They blame boredom, video games, uninvolved parents, student cliques and teenagers hungry for attention -- when all of these -- and more -- may be part of this complex problem.
"It is long past time to have a serious national conversation about gun violence. We owe it to our children," Maine Citizens Against Handgun Violence declared recently. And the group is almost right. The conversation needs to be about guns and a whole lot more. It needs to focus on violence -- particularly teenage violence -- whatever weapons it uses.[/quote]
I wonder if pur gun grabbers see the last election as a new opportunity to try to steal our fundemental rights again, as they have tried so often before?
