On Sean Hannity tonight, Rand Paul endorsed Mitt Romney for President, said he plans to campaign with him.

Rand Paul apparently met with Romney yesterday. Romney promised to "audit the fed" if he gets elected, and also address some other issues that are important to the Ron Paul people.

Could someone tell Brent "Obama is better than Romney" Tweed that he is now in disagreement with Rand Paul.

Republican congresscritters will stand up to Obama. Will they stand up to Romney? We could lose some to the dark side. Will they vote with their state platforms? I know some that will. Unfortunately some will not. Therein lies the huge danger. Thinking people get it.

Millions would never vote for McCain. The party makes its choices. Work hard for your deserving Maine house candidate. If you don't have one work hard for the candidate in the next district. When you are in a hole, don't stop digging and sulk. Build a ramp up out of there! Never give up. In every war there are casualties. When faced with that fact what do you do? I know what I do.

Saw a bumper sticker the other day. It said "Vote Romney to stop Obama / Vote conservatives to congress to stop Romney"

"Millions would never vote for McCain. The party makes its choices."

McCain isn't running. And the PEOPLE who VOTE have made their choice.

"When you are in a hole, don't stop digging and sulk. Build a ramp up out of there! "

Perhaps you should do what Ron Paul has done--stop digging. Perhaps you should do what Rand Paul is doing--support the nominee of the party, who was elected by the voters.

"Never give up. In every war there are casualties. When faced with that fact what do you do? I know what I do."

Is there any possibility, any possibility at all, that maybe, just maybe, you're fighting the wrong war and shooting at the the wrong target? Consider the implications in the phrase "friendly fire".

Romney graciously thanked Senator Paul for the endorsement and praised him for his efforts on behalf of liberty.
Mitt went on to promise an administration devoted to making government smaller, simpler, and smarter.

That's two-thirds right, but the best we can get for now.
Post Romney we'll be looking for the candidates who acknowledge that you can't get a government that's "smarter," not smarter than the aggregate of individuals and their associations pursuing their own goals, anyway.

The only way gov't can be "smarter" is to acknowledge that gov't doesn't work and eliminate itself.

Now that the constitutional liberty candidate for 2016, Rand Paul, has endorsed Mitt Romney, I want to see something from the Ron Paul leadership in Maine. Why have they all disappeared? This is what needs to happen:

1. All of the delegates going to Tampa need to announce their support of Mitt Romney, and vote for him on the first ballot.
2. Brackey and Tweed need to come out with a plan to win Maine for Romney. Let's put some of that Ron Paul organizational skill and dedication to work. They should have a joint press conference with Charlie Webster, and start mobilizing people for the fall election.

Why hasn't there been any statement yet from the leadership of the Maine Ron Paul community?

Apollo . . . go to the Daily Paul Website and see for yourself what Ron Paul Supporters think of Rand's endorsement . . . he is loosing likes on Facebook each minute . . .It does not matter to me in the least who he has endorsed and Rand has badly damaged his image with the Liberty Movement Nationwide with this endorsement.

Best,

Violet

You'll love him in four or eight years, Violet.

I'll remind you then, if you're still around. Which I doubt you'll be.

All this means is that Rand Paul has a firmer grip on reality than a substantial number of his father's supporters.

Violet, how can you possibly disagree with the already annointed constitutional liberty candidate for 2016? And you don't think he would do that endorsement without his father's approval do you?

What are you going to do to help Romney win Maine? If Romney wins Maine, it could decide the entire election, and the future of the country. I'm still waiting to hear ANYTHING from Brackey and Tweed, and the Delegates and new National Committee Man and Woman for Maine. Maybe they really do believe that "Obama is better than Romney". Or maybe they were just never really Republicans in the first place.

Losing likes vs. endorsement.

In the context of how these two events will be viewed which one will be remembered ?
In terms of significance neither raise to great levels , except for the assumption of reasonableness in the endorsement , recognized by
some as a act performed by an individual , exercising their liberty to make a free choice !

Rand Paul is doing whats right for the country, and the party. Paul supporter or not...4 more years of Obama will be devastating. Ron Paul is out....his campaign has stated it.....time to focus on Obama.

Versus 8 years of Romney?
