Shooting of Black FL Teen Ignites National "Furor", Major Figures Weigh In on Incident!

With all the Trayvon coverage, I must have missed this story. Anyone have links to:
1. Presidential adoption
2. Al and Jesse's rallys
3. Black Panther's bounty?
Thanks in advance.
That's a dog bites man incident taxfoe.
......"Finally: NBC fired the unnamed person responsible for the "mistake" of editing a tape to make Zimmerman sound like a bigot and trigger a federal "hate crimes" investigation".......
Trayvon Martin call was "mistake, not deliberate": NBC
"BS"!
That tape was "edited" exactly the way one would have edited it, if one had "wanted" to turn the story into a totally different story. And now NBC is on the ropes. Good!
......."[NBC News President Steve Capus].........decision to air an edited call from George Zimmerman to police in the moments before he shot Trayvon Martin was "a mistake and not a deliberate act to misrepresent the phone call,".........
BS again! More total BS! Stop, I can't stand any more of your filthy, irresponsible journalism, NBC!
......."The edit in question, which aired on the network's flagship "Today" morning show last week, made it appear that Zimmerman told police that Martin was black without being prompted, when, in fact, the full tape reveals that the neighborhood watch captain only did so when responding to a question posed by a dispatcher".......
This is all about "race-baiting" to rally the blacks to be sure and vote for Obama again, and to make money by all the extra attraction to the "media hype".
NBC has not "named" said producer, and until they do I am never going to believe one word they say. How do we know they even fired anyone? NBC and the rest of the media pimps are full of it, to the tops of their heads. Inciting a riot is a criminal act. What NBC did has put racial tensions right on the edge of the cliff, ready to drop off at any second. Even the Neo Nazis are "patrolling the streets now according to some sources, so we are just waiting for the violence to start.
It is beyond "crass" when the "race-baiter-in-chief", Sharpton, is out maintaining his "race-baiting" at the same time he is working for NBC. Does anyone besides me see the xtreme conflict of interest in that?
This one is the "media's creation" and they should be real proud of themselves.
I can't stand to watch or read it any more, it disgusts me so what they try and do. It is almost like the "official state media" these days!
WC
The only way to "hit them" is in the wallet. If they drew a significantly lower market share at prime time due to an announced boycott, that'd get their attention.
Police say a shooting spree that spread fear in Tulsa’s black community and left three people dead may have been partly motivated by an Oklahoma man’s desire to avenge his father’s shooting by a black man.
Tulsa police: Revenge for dad’s death one motive in shootings that terrorized black community
Interesting media play here. They'd love to find a hate-filled priveleged white supremist, but the reminder of the black-on-white violence aspect makes the narrative "complicated".
Here's the perp that killed the shooter's father. Just started serving a sentence for 2 1/2 years for that:
The New Black Panther Party is gearing up for a race(civil) war according to their chief of staff in Tampa and a national spokesman. The audio clip, which is chilling, in this link confirms it. When all these forces calling for equal whatever come together there is going to be blood in the streets, and it will be starting soon with full effect...bottom up, top down, and inside out is the plan of the regime...

Pathetic. What are they going to do, burn down their own neighborhoods again?
I wonder which network will be the first to start another reality show about it?
......"Pathetic. What are they going to do, burn down their own neighborhoods again?"......
This seems to happen every time they seem to need new plasma tv sets.
Destroying your own neighborhood seems to be utter folly, but seeing some of those neighborhoods, maybe burning them down is not all that bad an idea.

With a few minutes to spare this morning I decided to search out the text of the FL "Stand your ground" law and found the following.
....."776.012 Use of force in defense of person. — A person is justified in using force, except deadly force, against another when and to the extent that the person reasonably believes that such conduct is necessary to defend himself or herself or another against the other's imminent use of unlawful force. However, a person is justified in the use of deadly force and does not have a duty to retreat if:"....
......"(1) He or she reasonably believes that such force is necessary to prevent imminent death or great bodily harm to himself or herself or another or to prevent the imminent commission of a forcible felony; or (2) Under those circumstances permitted pursuant to s. 776.013"........
The media is a disgrace on this whole thing. The media has made the issue mostly that 1)the deceased was black and 2) the shooter was white, 3) That Martin was "unarmed" 4)that Zimmerman was the aggressor, 5) That Zimmerman had no right to carry a gun in that spot, 6)That Zimmerman should never have approached Martin.....etc!
I am not a lawyer but it seems to me the phrase: "He or she reasonably believes that such force is necessary to prevent imminent death or great bodily harm to himself or herself or another or to prevent the imminent commission of a forcible felony;"
certainly is the majority of the question that needs to be answered here. It would seem that the ethnicity of the individuals should not be of any consequence uless Martin was indeed "targeted and killed" just because he was black. It would seem that, having been licensed by the state of FL for concealed carry that Zimmerman was within his rights to be carrying the gun any place that the law allowed same. It would seem to me that hands and feet can be, and often are, weapons that can be used to inflict leathal injury to others. I have spent enough time in martial arts classes to know just how effective feet, hands and other things can be when used in that fashion. I think any reasonable person, lying on the ground, having their head beat into the concrete and their face pummled with fists etc, could easily believe he was in "immiment danger".
It would seem that the state prosecutor will have to believe that there is reasonable evidence that Zimmerman violated the bold part of the law, above, or they will have to let him be.
I do not envy the prosecutor in this case as there is extremely heavy pressure coming from the public. I can't help but wonder just how much of an influence that will have on her decision, eventually. Either way she decides will have its critics and maybe more.
This is an extremely interesting case also, as you read how the Martin family attorney used the media, and Al Sharpton, to build public support for their side of the issue. Not illegal but very intersting. According to a piece that my youngest son dug up off of Reuters last night nothing happened in this case for some weeks after it happened. Then the Martin family went to the Sanford, FL police. Investigator Chris Serino then took Martin to another room and told him Zimmerman's version of events. You can read what Zimmeran told the police in the article. The police thought that there was not enough evidence to charge Zimmerman at the time.
Then the Martin family sought out legal help from Benjamin Crump, the best known civil rights attorney in FL. Crump, realizing he needed a local attorney who knew Sanford and Seminole County, reached out to attorney Natalie Jackson, a former Navy intelligence officer, whose mother lives in Sanford. A "publicist" named Ryan Julison was also brought in.
......."Now Crump and Jackson needed a media strategy. On March 5, Jackson brought in Ryan Julison, a publicist who had worked with her on a number of high-profile cases. After speaking with Tracy Martin, Julison said he also took the job for free and went to work pitching the story to national media".......
But at first the media was NOT interested. Eventually Reuters published its first story on Mar 7. On the morning of Mar 8, CBS aired a segment on its "This Morning" show.
On Mar 12, Al Sharpton enters the case:
......"After the police chief told reporters on March 12 he lacked a probable cause to arrest Zimmerman, Sharpton took up Trayvon Martin's cause on his MSNBC show, fueling cable television competition........The twist that catapulted Martin's shooting into a world story was the release of recorded 911 emergency calls, including one that captures screams for help in the background that end with a gunshot".......
Chief Lee was overruled by the Sanford Mayor on Mar 16, and released the 911 tapes and they were played in the lawyers office for the Martin family. The next day the "mistakenly edited" tape was released by NBC. Since Sharpton, who is already heavily involved with hyping this case on his MSNBC show, it is not very hard to contemplate if HIS influence was used in any way to create the "manufactured" evidence. In my book it is very wrong for Sharpton to be an "activist" and be employed by a news agency at the same time. But that does not bother him as you use whatever tools you have.
The Tulsa shooting story however, seems to have a racial component to it as one of the shooters evidently said he wanted to shoot blacks specifically as revenge. But nothing like that seems in play in the Martin shooting. I have not seen any evidence that Martins ethnic background played any part in motivating what happened. He could just as easily been Hispanic or White.
The media has created such a frenzy that one wonders how, if arrested and charged, that Zimmerman could face an unbiased jury anyplace in the country now. It is sad that we are rapidly approaching the point where trial, sentence and execution, by the public is looking like a reality more and more everyday.
WC
WC: A major issue in FL is the "reasonableness" of Zimmerman's beliI believe that repeated blows by whacking the human head against concrete can, at least by # 3 or 4, cause "great bodily harm". Also, if (as has been reported) Martin was on top and reaching for the gun -- another easy case.
One final issue: provocation. This is what will be in play if the issue is generated as to whether Zimmerman (perhaps unknowingly) put Martin in fear of attack.
That's why we have investigators and juries.
the "reasonableness" of Zimmerman's beliI believe that repeated blows by whacking the human head against concrete can, at least by # 3 or 4, cause "great bodily harm".
Can you imagine that even being a question if the shooter was a cop?
Here's a picture of the shooter's father who was gunned down during a confrontation:

The droopy moustache is what sets me off here. When I see a droopy moustache I immediately think of "tough biker". He may have intimdated his killer who responded out of fear by being confronted by a fellow who looked like a Hell's Angel tough guy.
I think that's just prejustice. I think we should have a Million Man Droopy-Moustache March to bring awareness to people's misconceptions there.
Can you imagine that even being a question if the shooter was a cop?
The issue isn't whether one can die from having one's head repeatedly smashed against concrete. The real issues are:
1) whether or not that's what was really happening, and
2) how things got to that juncture.
Now that the chyrons are out of the way, we've seen a bit more information in that area. Injuries to the head of the nature described (allegedly) by Zimmerman tilt things toward justification.
In terms of provocation, the issue is best phrased as: "What did Zimmerman do (if anything) that could have reasonably led Martin to think he, Martin, was about to be subjected to something that would justify deadly force."
I am not speculating that Zimmerman did, but the circumstances (following Martin in the dark and the rain) plausibly MIGHT lead to such a perception by Martin, with other facts. If Zimmerman retreated and was pursued by Martin, I believe that Martin would have been unlikely to have been acting in self defense. However, I don't know exactly what happened. The eyewitnesses might have seen it, as well as the police investigators. I have seen reports that at least one witness was black. If the news outlet was correct (a large assumption), the eyewitness recitation seemed to favor Zimmerman.
TJC,
Racial implications in this case have been stirred about as much as you could possible stir them. Terrible repercussions for the local area, plus maybe other parts of our country, may be well riding on the decision the special prosecutor makes.
Would you want to make any bets on whether or not the poltical implications of this will make any difference in the situation?
I have thought a bit about what it would be like to be in her shoes. If it were me I would do my best to look at the facts and make a decision on that, and let the chips fall where they may.
I hope she is good enough at her job to do just that.
WC
It appears to me Zimmerman's is/was an idiot wannabe cop. The 911 dispatcher told him to back off, he didn't. He had no authority, and from what I've read, no reason to suspect Martin of wrong doing. If I were Martin I very well might have smacked the son of a bitch in the mouth too.
I will of course wait for the investigation to run it's course, TJC.
charlie
The 911 dispatcher told him to back off, he didn't.
Charlie: How do you know he didn't? None of us here in the Pine Tree State know enough to pass judgment here. The eyewitnesses and the investigators have more pieces than anybody else.
The level of dysinformation perpetrated by the MSM has proven to be unusually high. I cannot trust them about almost anything. Fox news too.

Zimmerman's lawyers resign in Trayvon Martin case
The Associated Press
ORLANDO, Fla. — Two attorneys ... have withdrawn as his counsel because they have lost contact with him and he is taking actions related to the case without consulting them.
Attorney Craig Sonner and Hal Uhrig... haven't heard from George Zimmerman since Sunday. ...against their advice, Zimmerman contacted...special prosecutor who will decide if he should face charges. ...Angela Corey's office didn't immediately respond to an email and two phone calls.
Zimmerman's relatives have accused Holder the Forehead of racism because he will not arrest the Black Panthers for hate crimes against Zimmerman with their "bounty" on him. They claim that the speech fits the governments definition of hate speech and because both Holder and the Black Panthers are Black, they get a break and are allowed to commit crimes. We have already seen this in the vote intimidation crimes this group of thugs committed.
Zimmerman will self destruct.
Why does FOX NEWS show a picture of Trayvon Martin when he was 12 years old? The young man was 17 !
Update photo please.....
If one is looking for a picture as a "hook" to the story, one might select the one that's gotten the most play -- hence the younger version.
The emotional burden on Mr Zimmerman can't be overstated at this point. I'm certain TJC would agree that parting ways with legal counsel at this point is not a wise move while he still remains in jeopardy. I have seen suspects in similar circumstances choose suicide rather than deal with the present reality. The more estranged they are the greater the liklihood. I pray that he will find the strength and support to carry on and that the prosecutor will issue her decision soon.
(CBS/AP) CBS News has confirmed that neighborhood watch volunteer George Zimmerman will be charged in the February shooting death of unarmed teenager Trayvon Martin in Sanford, Fla.
State Attorney Angela Corey is scheduled to hold a news conference at 6 p.m. Wednesday at the state attorney's office in Jacksonville, Florida related to the Martin investigation.
According to a senior law enforcement official, Corey is expected to announce that Zimmerman will face state charges. The number or nature of the charges was not immediately known.

Done 2nd degree murder he is in custody!
Will that bounty still be in play when he gets to jail?
Any number of inmates would take him out for 1 million.
The Grand Jury was eliminated in this case. The Grand Jury was set up to protect citizens from prosecutors who could bring an action against anyone they felt like. The Grand Jury system was intended to ensure that the prosecution had a case. Because the Grand Jury was eliminated in this case we are left to wonder if the accusation of murder is legit or pandering to the black community.
I think this should be called a "political charge" as it was done in large part to keep the blacks from rioting and burning in many cities as many of them had threatened. It is also a blatant attempt to use this to solidify the blacks behind Obama. Just like Slick Willy had his OKC bombing, just in the nick of time to save his second term, along comes this mess to save the "Kenyan-in-chief". Maybe he had nothing to do with it happening but he is very cleverly taking any advantage of it that he can.
Just read some stories where they talked about how the city had spent the last three days setting up barricades and making other provisons to contain any possible violence. Reports are that Zimmerman turned himself in a while ago. One can't help but wonder if what his attorneys said about "not knowing where he was" yesterday was a piece of it.
This will be enough of a charge to appease, for the moment, those who threatened all the violence. Proving the case may be another animal all together.
The worst person in this, IMHO, is our Attorney General who has patently ignored threats of violence mayhem and death, pulically stated, and open offerings of "bounty money, dead or alive" for Zimmerman. This was nothing short of inciting violence and murder, for a political cause.
Holder is a disgrace to all of those who have ever held his office. In my opinion, after how he has ignored this, and ignored anything to do with running guns into Mexico, is one of the politically dirtiest people I have ever known of. He should be run out for not doing his job.
What a bunch in DC!

Something about the prosecutor's demeanor in that press conference seemed very 'off.'

Finally: NBC fired the unnamed person responsible for the "mistake" of editing a tape to make Zimmerman sound like a bigot and trigger a federal "hate crimes" investigation.
But I'm not satisfied. I want Brian Williams to go on the air and talk about this "mistake" and explain how it could happen in any way that was not deliberate, and blessed by higher-ups.
NBC News Fires Editgate Producer (link to Breitbart)
Tom Maguire at JustOneMinute has been on top of developments in this case for a couple of weeks now.
