A white guy stalks and kills a black guy

Well!

I was watching one of the leftie "law" shows that does sensational coverage on the case de jure, and they were talking about the man who was killed when the father of the child he was molesting punched him in the head "only three times". The doctor they were talking to sounded exaspated while he explained "blunt force trauma".

The liberals, when they learn that Martin was pounding Zimmerman's head into the pavement, and was screaming for help for about 20 seconds, somehow have come up with "the beating wasn't that bad."

Perhaps Mr. Allen would think it best if he were to gladly submit like a meek little lamb to having his brains dashed out on the concrete by someone who has practiced boxing and mixed-marshal arts. If he was killed or merely received brain trauma as a result, then better to just live with it.

To complain, or God forbid, defend himself, would be a racist act.

Liberals have a hard time with facts, especially when those get in the way of a perfectly good narrative.

And to dare to challenge the leftie narrative is de facto racism!

Hey, talking about motivation, while I have the most sincere sympathy for parents that have lost a child, and even an understanding of the deep grief and emotions that result, you don't think that the Martin family has been positioning themselves for a big payoff here, do you?

Would you like me to post a list of things that point to just that?

......"Am I the only one here who remembers the Reginald Denny brick?"

I just showed that video to my two boys the other night, as I was explaining to them the history of what some black Americans have become when they can't make the point any other way.

It looked worse than wild animals, in looking back at it today.

The fault lies squarely on the race-baiters, at the beck of the Democratic party, who have used the culture of victimhood and entitlement to control their flocks, and make themselves rich and powerful.

The KKK, if they had their way, could not have dreamed about the damage to the African-American community that the self-proclaimed "advocates" have accomplished.

Butch:

There's another two less tongue-in-cheek possibilities. The first is that Trayvon Martin was BEHIND Zimmerman and hit him FROM BEHIND, as well as in front. That's inconsistent with an attack by Zimmerman. It is completely consistent with an attack by Martin.

The more likely story is that told by Zimmerman, that his head would was inflicted by the ground, as Martin did SOMETHING to him from the front. The glaring point to be made is this: y' can't retreat through the frikkin' earth. If Martin is in front of Zimmerman, and the planet is BEHIND Zimmerman, then he cannot retreat. It also means "in front" is "on top". He can't move forward unless it is through Martin. Maybe that's how he broke his nose? But that doesn't explain the ONLY non-bullet wound on Martin -- skinned knuckles.

The photographer's cellphone cam picture includes embedded data showing that it was taken THREE MINUTES after the gunshot, which was AFTER Zimmerman began talking to him. We're looking at one-two minutes TOPS for Zimmerman to inflict all those wounds on the front and back of his own head and torso, AND surreptitionsly skin - up Martin's knuckles, without being observed or heard to have done so.

-- or Zimmerman could have been attacked by Martin and forced onto the ground, into a position from which he could not retreat, and from which he inflicted only a single injury to Martin -- the gunshot.

(assuming all the media are not lying too much more than they usually do)

Something I've wondered for quite some time now is why Martin doubled back to where Zimmerman was, if he was already almost at his father's house, provided the report that says he was already "home" is true? That doesn't seem consistent with the idea that Zimmerman initiated the confrontation to me....

They really don't know what happened during that time - the "missing two minutes" or whatever.

The left is reduced to attacking Zimmerman persoannlly, since the evidence we've seen so far doesn't support the Saint Treyvon narrative.

Zimmerman may have stepped in it with the jailhouse tapes, and in the hours of interviews with the police, there are almost certain to be some inconsistancies.

The moral of the story - when in trouble - shut up and lawyer up!

Update:

George Zimmerman was telling the truth when he said he shot Trayvon Martin because he thought the teenager would kill him, a police lie detector test found.

Trayvon Martin shooter lie detector test, police interview tapes released by George Zimmerman’s attorney

Well, that goes a long way to establish Zimmerman's state of mind.

The race-baiters are spinning it - Zimmerman's claim that Martin said "You got me" is so obviously a contrived statement, that it PROVES he's lying!

Insanity!

What on earth does the prosecution have here? I thought there would be a, errr... smoking gun in Zimmerman's police statements, but one doesn't seem to jump out. Crump and the gang haven't completely poured over it to give their spin yet, but what on earth basis for a prosecution here?

Sanford, Fla., has fired Bill Lee, the police chief who initially oversaw the controversial investigation into a white-Hispanic neighborhood watch captain's fatal shooting of a black 17-year-old, Trayvon Martin.

Trayvon Martin Case Police Chief Bill Lee Permanently Relieved of Duty

Complete and utter insanity down there.

But questions began to arise about whether there had been a racial motivation in the case, prompting protests in Florida and nationwide: Martin was black; Zimmerman's father is white and his mother is Hispanic.

Have we seen one shred of evidence there was a racial motivation?

Hearing today:

George Zimmerman's father listened to frantic howls for help overheard in a 911 call today and told a Florida courtroom that the voice "was absolutely George's."

George Zimmerman's Dad Testifies Voice Howling for Help Is His Son

Holy cow - it seems that Zimmerman needs to prove he's innocent!

-----------------------

Here's a thought - The judge is being hard on Zimmerman because he wants to make sure that people show respect to the court.

This case is a farce from word go on the prosecution side. The idea of fairness has been thrown out. Without the concept of fairness, no amount of stern talk or threats from the judge are going to restore one iota of the mountains of respect the legal system has lost as a result of this circus. And without fairness, all the court has left is blind coersion.

The judge is allowing his court to be used for this charade.

Zimmerman's "respect for the court"? The court has only fairly earned his contempt. I think you could make that statement objectively.

This is a recipe for disgust - not a recipe for respect!

Trayvon Martin killed 'because of his own doing', George Zimmerman's attorney says

All the evidence I've seen shows this clearly. What right does the state have to persecute this man for political reasons? It's a disgrace.

“Mr. Zimmerman sat there and allowed [his wife to lie], manipulating the whole thing,” De la Rionda said. “They were lying to the court, and that is the most egregious part, and makes this an even more disturbing crime.”

This drives me crazy. Maybe it's true, but the prosecution has not acted in an honest way either. Who holds her accountable?

When I got divorced my now-ex wife told and swore to plenty of lies. Everyone knew they were lies.

Now when you watch TV- the handsome lawyer on the legal-drama program will advise their client that if they shouldn't lie, and if they did, they should correct the record.

However, in real life, my ex-wife's attorney made no attempt to correct the record, and went along without taking responsibility for what he knew were lies, and made us take 3 years and expense to undue those. And why not? None of the judges or lawyers in the case made one motion to hold her accountable.

Her lawyer was perfectly happy to sit there like a potted plant while he knew that lies were being told.

However, according the the the way Zimmerman is being prosecuted, my wife's attorney had a legal, ethical obligation (did I use the word "legal" and "ethical" in the same sentence? Sorry!) to correct the record - but, gosh, "in real life" the attorney seems, in fact, have no such obligation to do that.

It's a farce, that's all there is too it. If they wanted a shred of credibility, they might hold themselves to a fraction of the standard they demand from others.

But they don't. I guess thay credibility isn't one of their primary motives.

Lawyers love to scream bloody murder when I say the court system is corrupt, but, then who are you going to believe - them or your own eyes?

If they really loved justice as much as they say they do - they'd clean up their own act, instead of shooting the messenger.

O’Mara’s explanation focused on the idea that, at the time, Zimmerman had reasons to distrust a system that he had tried his best to assist through cooperation and openness.

Join the club, buddy.

Tom C, just what "evidence" have you seen? Zimmerman had some scrapes on his head and a black eye. We know that Zimmerman, who was armed, was following Martin, who was unarmed. Martin had every right to "stand his ground" and demand to know why he was being followed. At that point, all evidence stops. Someone hit someone. We don't know who threw the first punch. It appears that Zimmerman was getting the worst of the altercation, but who knows if he needed to kill Martin in order to save his life, or whether Martin was willing to let him go after he had Zimmerman down. All we have to go on is the word of a proven liar.
A jury will have a tough time sorting this out, but Zimmerman may have had other options rather than just killing the kid.

Zimmerman's scrapes were on the BACK OF HIS HEAD. He had a broken nose. Martin's only scrape was on his knuckle. I have seen no evidence that Zimmerman had scapes or bruises on his hands that indicated an attack. Zimmerman's story has matched all the evidence we've seen.

As far as self-defense, getting your head pounded on the pavement IS a situation where deadly force would be allowed. Your supposition is blind fantasy, and has no basis in either the facts or the law.

How on earth does the evidence support your hypothesis that Zimmerman struck first? You don't have one shred of evidence that supports that, all all of the evidence supports Zimmerman's story.

All we have to go on is the word of a proven liar.

Oh gosh, is that all? Let's see... what else supports Zimmerman's position... Hmmm...

How about... ALL THE OTHER EVIDENCE.

Hey, you know who also has been "proven a liar"? NBC for their deceptive editing of the tape. The race-baiters who claimed Zimmerman said "coon". Just about everything Al Sharpton said in the beginning of the case.

A clear-minded jury will have no problem sorting this out.

A jury will have a tough time sorting this out, but Zimmerman may have had other options rather than just killing the kid.

If that is their conclusion, Zimmerman should be acquitted. They should only convict him if the facts show, beyond a reasonable doubt, that at the time he was being subjected to the beating he suffered, he could not reasonably believed that he could solve his predicament without using deadly force.

I suppose you could show (if there was evidence of that) that it was lawful for Martin to beat Zimmerman, to the point that he inflicted a broken nose and gashes on the BACK of Zimmerman's head. If there was some evidence that Martin reasonably believed he was being attacked, that'd be useful to hear.

It'd also be legal if, after being UNJUSTIFIABLY shot by Zimmerman, Martin inflicted the shopping list of injuries before expiring.

AGAIN, all the above assumes that what's being reported has some degree of reality.

PS: If the ONLY option shown is retreat, Zimmerman wins. That's what "stand your ground" means.

No word yet on Zimmerman's bail.

This is starting to look more like a government persecution, rather than the legal system merely doing its job. Why hasn't O'Mera offered a motion to dismiss?

Looking at the government failures in this area over the last year or two, government employees can ruin citizens' lives with complete impunity. Even when "justice runs its course" and defendents are exonerated, their lives are ruined.

It seems like everyone is in on the game - Where are the lawyers who are standing up against this?

The judge overseeing the Trayvon Martin case in Florida will announce Thursday whether he will grant bond to George Zimmerman, a court official said.

Judge Kenneth Lester Jr. worked on the decision over the July 4th holiday and was finishing up his written decision Thursday morning

This is starting to smell like the Obamacare decision. I wonder if Holder got to the judge. I mean, if he did, who would the judge complain to, the FBI? Holder is in charge of the FBI.

Well, maybe he'll dismiss the charges, or release him on PR.

UPDATE:

"Counsel has attempted to portray the defendant as being a confused young man who was fearful and experienced a moment of weakness and who may have also have acted out of a sense of 'betrayal' by the system. Based upon all the evidence presented, this court finds the opposite.

Judge sets $1M bail for George Zimmerman

Well, that's great judge, but any word for the prosecution related to their abuse of the process?

No?

Hey there's a surprise.

The judge clobbered Zimmerman in his bail order even attacking him for his refusal to take the stand during the hearing.

Here's a judge that has just thrown out the bill of rights. Well, he'll let you have the fifth amendment, just don't try to use it.

"Court is now in session!"

Smells like a bag job!

Zimmerman shot and killed an unarmed individual under questionable circumstances. A murder charge is justifiable. He also lied at his original bail hearing, so bail being revoked is also justifiable. He may or may not be guilty under Florida law, let a jury determine same. It is established he is a liar to the court though. The jury should be made aware of same.

George Zimmerman was preparing to flee the U.S. with his wife and $130,000 donated by supporters while he was out of jail on bond awaiting his murder trial for the death of Trayvon Martin, a Florida judge wrote today.

Zimmerman bail set at $1M in Trayvon Martin case

Well, if he WASN'T thinking about running - he is now!

I don't know if it was deliberate or not, but O'Mera got the judge to tip his hand.

Question - How does one post a million dollar bond? I understand you come up with 10% cash - that goes to the bondsman - is that he fee that he keeps regardless of the outcome? Do you have to provide the balance in surety to the bondsman?

......."Zimmerman shot and killed an unarmed individual"........

ALL OF US in the country, who have commented on this event have the benefit of something that Mr Zimmerman did not have at that moment in time. Mr Zimmerman did not know that Trayvon was unarmed until some time after Martin was shot. In most all of these kinds of cases that I have read of, "hindsight" cannot be used to decide if the shooting was justified or not. One has to look at the situation through the eyes of the man who used self defense and exactly what was he thinking at the moment he pulled the trigger.

Most everything else will be irrelevant I think.

The media and all the "professional race baiters" and their black victims, love to say "an armed man shot an unarmed man" so it was murder. But every single one of them has the benefit of hindsight, but at the moment of the shooting Zimmerman had to act soley based upon what he was thinking at that moment in time. My understanding of self-defense shootings is that the case will come down to just what was in the persons mind, at that moment, who chose to use deadly force. And just because Martin did not have a gun or a knife, does not mean that he was unarmed exactly. Hands and feet have been used plenty of times to maim and kill people, and the evidence so far seems to indicate that Zimmerman sustained a good deal of injury to the back of his head and face.

Question: How often, and how hard, does one have to smash someone else's head into the pavement before deadly force could be justified?

It should not be based on things that can be seen with hindsight!

Zimmerman was really savaged by the judge here. You have got to read the judge's order.

Update:

This is a gem I picked up from someone on Free Republic. The judge's order reads, in part:

"Under any definition the defendant has flaunted the system"

(page 2)

I hope the judge knows law better than he understands English.

“To flaunt is to show off: you flaunt your new necklace by wearing it to work. “Flout” has a more negative connotation; it means to treat with contempt some rule or standard. The cliché is “to flout convention.” Flaunting may be in bad taste because it’s ostentatious, but it is not a violation of standards.”

Zimmerman attorneys call judge biased, request 2nd replacement

Ya think?

“Mr. Zimmerman has lost faith in the objectivity of this court and has a reasonable, well-founded fear that he will not receive a fair trial by this court,” the document said.

Zimmerman Asks For Another New Judge

Good.

Citizens are increasingly sick of that self-serving clown circus that is called "the court system", and it's about time that even lawyers are calling the sham for what it is.

FBI: No racial motivation.

What? That can't be . . it doesn't fit the narrative!

"The documents also show a political motivation at work in the Trayvon arrest. Sanford Police Sgt. Arthur Barns said the black community “would be in an ‘uproar’ if ZIMMERMAN is not charged. The community will be satisfied if an arrest takes place."

Oh . . to heck with justice . . as long as everyone's happy.

UPDATE:

Zimmerman on Hannity last night talking about the incident. Zimmerman apologized to Martin's parents.

Martin's parents on Fox this am were asked about Zimmerman's apology to them.

Both, with Crump sitting next to them, said exactly the same word "not sincere." Martin's mother, asked why Zimmerman was suddenly apologing NOW, suggested it was self-serving, and suggested the evidence of that was that he's waited so long to apologize. .

Wait a minute... Zimmerman also tried to apologize at a court hearing earlier, but was rebuffed then, as well. Crump just keeps changing his narrative to fit the changing fact pattern. Facts and truth have no meaning to the man. His agenda is pretty transparent and doesn't seem to involve the truth at all.

Truth was "replaced" by black on white racism, stoked by the ususal suspects....and their media whores.

Americans who believe in justice should be deeply ashamed of this debacle.

In a ruling released Wednesday, Circuit Judge Kenneth Lester Jr. rejected a defense motion that he step aside because Zimmerman’s team feared the judge would treat their client unfairly. Lester ruled that the motion was “legally insufficient” for him to recuse himself.

Judge refuses to step aside in George Zimmerman murder trial

Now, I'm not as smart as a lawyer, but it seems to me that Judge Lester's conclusion that Zimmerman was preparing to flee the country would show a pretty gross bias.

This is another example of how bad the court system has become. Rather than critisizing those who point out the spectacular failures, I think the the courts might better serve the public if they started doing some introspection.

Ooops, did I say "courts better serve the public"? My mistake. I keep forgetting that courts are designed to serve lawyers.
